I have an chance to go to a steelers game this year and I get to pick between two. I can go to the steelers at the cowboys or the browns at the steelers. I love going to pittsburgh, have been a few times. never been to dallas at all. wondering if anyone knows anything about the city or the stadium. I hate to go to dallas and have a bad time. I know I will love going back to the burgh. can anyone help?

The problem I found having been to Dallas many times is that it is full of Dallas fans. If you want to see Dallas, go at another time. For this, Browns at Steelers.

Of course anytime you go to another teams city its going to be more full of their fans thats kinda obvious. I'm sure there will be Steeler fans and maybe even a Steeler bar somewhere. I personally would LOVE to check out stupid Jones' new stadium. Plus it would probably be a more competitive game than against the Browns (if that matters to you)...as Dallas is probably gonna be the better team of the 2. Plus I like going to places I havent been to before and experiencing games there. If you've been to Pittsburgh before...but not Dallas...why not try it...who cares if some fans may heckle you/etc...its all part of the experience...as long as your not an ass back to them/etc, haha.

You would certainly get a better reception in Dallas than you would in Baltimore, Cleveland or Oakland. Posters above are right, if you have been to Heinz Field, try another place, Dallas. There are Steelers bars in Dallas, I have been to them. Check the Black and Gold Brigade.

I'll go with gpguy on this. Dallas is a fun city and the opportunity to see the new stadium in person would be cool. Surely there will be plenty of a-hole cowboys fans. And there should probably be plenty of cool fans as well who appreciate the old rivalry and respect their opponent. We usually get what we give so I'm thinking be friendly and respectful and get that back. There is always the outlier who wants to start crap but if you can ignore it, no big deal. We have those a-hole fans wearing black n gold at Heinz as well.

We get 2 games vs Cleveland every year. Playing Dallas, in Dallas, would seem to be the more special game not to mention the fun of a road trip and being in that amazing stadium, the "Jerry Dome".

Thanks, I would love to see the new stadium. Don't know much about the city. I don't even know if thestadium is in Dallas. Alot might depend on the dates of games. Has anyone been to a Browns game, the guy I am going with is old school still thinks Cleveland is our biggest rival.

Yep, been to a Browns game. It's like beating up your little brother: it counts, especially since it's a division game, but not quite as satisfying as beating a real competitor.

I'm wondering if the Steelers vs. dallas will be picked up by fox for Thanksgiving day? You might want to hold off deciding until the schedule comes out,- if you can. :yeehaw:

I don't think they'll pick a team Dallas has a good chance of losing to for Thanksgiving. More likely they'll toss 'em a softball.

Just so long as the Steelers do better than they did the last time they were in the Jerry Dome

Well there ain't nothing but steers and...something else... that come from texas. So you might wanna go to Heinz. NEVER pass up a chance to go to Heinz. That's my opinion anyway. Although, I would love to see that massive stadium.

I think it really depends. If the choice were mine, it would be a difficult one, since my brother lives in the Dallas area. However, since I've never been to Heinz Field (on the inside), I would pick that first no matter who the opponent. However, if you've already been to Heinz - then go to Dallas and enjoy their big stadium and represent for us watching from our couches!

If it were me, I'd go to Dallas. But, I've been to Heinz a bunch of times. Plus the Steelers and Cowboys is our biggest rival game outside the AFC.

I can't stand the Cowboys, but Jerry World is a sight to behold!! The stadium is actually in Arlington TX. Also, it is conveniently close to DFW airport. Parking at the stadium is not that great. Arlington has a few places relatively close to the staduim, but nothing like Dallas (or Ft Worth if you know where to go).
