I don't understand the play where Ayers caught that third down pass (and then after he already had the first down), Rogers had the illegal block... Why didn't we get credit for the first down and then have the penalty afterwards? The penalty occurred after we had the first down. Can anybody explain this play to me? Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing. I think it was because it was a personal foul penalty, which negated the play. Had it been holding, I think they mark the penalty from the spot of the foul and we still have a first down. Not positive about that though.

we did get credit for yardage gained as the next play was 3rd and 11

with the way the officiating has been lately it was probably a mistake

if Rogers block was a crack back block, why wasnt Floyd's block in the New England game a week earlier......oh wait, I think I answered my own question when I said New England.
