Anybody want a slightly used head coach?

The Chokers have made it official. McCoy is out!

 

Too little. Too late. Rivers and Gates are both good players that have wasted years of their careers because of crappy management.

 

Personally, I think Rivers is WAY overrated. I agree about Gates. The problem with the "team" has always been ownership. Through the years, S.D. has had outstanding individuals but, rarely, a good team.

 

I know this is blasphemy, but I think Rivers would have done about as well as Ben has in Pittsburgh. I remember several mock drafts had Rivers going to the Steelers. I am glad the Steelers have Ben though. I agree SD issues have been ownership. Teams that haven't won a Super Bowl, a majority of those teams the issue has been ownership though. Cleveland, Cincinnati, Tennessee, San Diego, Detroit, Arizona, all have had ownership issues at times.

 

I'd put Dallas on that list too. Jones is one of the most meddlesome owners in the league and I know they might look good right now but honestly I'd kill myself if the Rooney's acted like that moron.

 

The list was printed in the paper this morning of the Chargers coaches and their records. Since the merger, the Browns West have had 15 head coaches! In that timeline, they've had some incredible players. When the team fires it's head coach after a 14-2 season, the blame rests with ownership.

 

Pretty sure Rooney has been doing his best Steinbrenner impersonation for the last few years.
