Most Hated Steelers

I was going to say I've never hated a Steeler, only frustrated with some. Then Blount came to mind, so I'll put him in the hate category. Frustrated: JJ, Mendy, Cortez Allen, Charles Johnson, Worley come to mind.

 

I hate what Plaxico and Santonio did to themselves (Bell, Bryant, are you paying attention?).
I hate the way Legarrette Blount walked away, as if he had a plan to join the Pats.
I hate what O'Donnell did to this team.
I hate what FO has done to some FA.

But I don't hate any of them.

 

Deuce Staley. Was so excited when they picked him up that I was bragging to my buddy that he was going to tear it up the field. He had his doubts and I tried even more to persuade him that it was going to be great.

What a tool he turned out to be. Had maybe 2 good games and collected a paycheck after that modeling the sweats. From what I understand he is now the running backs coach at Philly. Hopefully he teaches them to be very patient sitting on the sidelines.

 

Legarrett Blount.

 

He never had a QB coach either. If you want him to become a better QB in the pocket he needed a coach.

Every year they let his leading receiver go as well.

The man was an Ironman though.

 

Staley took a rabbit punch to his leg in the pile against the Patriots and was never the same after that....

 

Imagine if someone used this code for a TV show opening credits.

hate is a strong word. there have been several I didn't like in college but when they got here, lovefest. the only steeler player I can say I didn't really like when in uniform was vick

 

steel I feel the same. Hate is a strong word.

My most disliked: O'Dunghead, Blunt, Brister, J Jones, Mendy, Scooby, Vick.

 

Mike "The Unfocused Diva" Wallace, followed closely by Neil "I love me some Jerry Jones" O'Donnell.

Don't even like to think about these guys. The irony is that both of these guys would have had much better careers had they kept their butts in Black & Gold!

I think Hines Ward would be the front runner there. Absolutely love him if he's on your team but hate him if he's on another. Like we view Brady, Sherman, Suggs, etc

 

1st would be Neil O'Donnell. Not so much because he threw away a Super Bowl for us. Mistakes happen I guess. But mainly because he didn't have the guts to come back and face the team and city and trashed the Steelers on his way out. I'm glad his career fell apart after that.

2nd for me, and most won't like this, would be Rod Woodson. The Steelers waited for him during his injury, so he could play in the Super Bowl. Towards the end of his time in Pittsburgh, the Steelers asked him to change positions and take a pay cut. He refused and went to SF only to find out he was gonna have to change positions. And if that wasn't enough, he signed with the ratturds and helped them win a Super Bowl.

 

I understand it. I was a little peeved about that myself.

Ditto! I absolutely do not like him and hated having him on our team. I was ashamed.

 

To this extent, I was trolling the Bengals board one day and there was a whole series there on how dirty they thought David Decastro is. That surprised me.

 

If my memory serves me correctly, everybody seemed to hate Eric Green when he was here.

 

troy edwards, walter abercrombie, eric green.

 

I'd vote for Mendenhall.

If we turned this thread upside down and asked non-Steeler fans, I bet Hines Ward would win in a landslide. Loved me some 86. Heart of a lion. He oozed Steeler toughness from his pores, much like Lambert.
