While I agree that I think that KC has a better shot of beating NE, it would be some serious poetic justice to have Oakland go into NE and win off of some fluke, BS rule that no one knew ever existed.

I'd love to see that! With Carr out, I don't think it happens though.

The Patriots actually have much more to play for than the Dolphins do. They control their destiny for the #1 seed. Not sure I share all this Chiefs love. They did look great against the Broncos, but lost to the Titans the week before. I can't see them beating the Patriots anywhere.

Miami I think has no chance of coming in here and winning a wildcard game especially with a backup QB. That's why I kept stressing last week that it was absolutely huge that Miami came back and won that game in Buffalo on Saturday and made the Steelers Ravens game an elimination game for the Ravens. Had they lost that game the Ravens would still have been alive for that last wildcard spot going into this week against Cincy. And had Miami lost to Buffalo and lost to the Patriots this week and the Ravens beat the Bengals the Ravens would have gotten it at 9-7 over the Dolphins by beating them head to head a few weeks ago. And the Steelers didn't want to have to face the Ravens 2 times in 3 weeks that would have been very tough.

The Steelers are currently the only team ranked in top 10 offense and defense on the Football Outsiders metrics, for what it's worth.

On a side note, barring Flacco and Wilson, im struggling to think of a very good QB the pats have faced this season. For that reason, I'd say the main threat to the steelers in the playoffs is themselves.

Yep, this is the list of QB's the patriots have played this season:
    palmer
    tannehill
    osweiler
    taylor
    kessler
    dalton
    landry jones
    russell wilson
    kaepernick
    fitzpatrick
    goff
    flacco
    semien

This is why their defensive rankings are so good.

The Pats D is good but once again: they have played nobody. They always fall into playing one if the easiest schedules in the league.

Cart before the horse, if the offense and Oline in general haven't figured out how to attack the wide -9 that the Fins will use then it will be a long day with an ending that is very much indoubt.

I didnt know what a wide 9 is so I looked it up. Interestingly enough it looks like the eagles run that on defense too and this video from the vikings website actually shows clips of steelers offense:

Well, they get 6 games against the Dolphins, Bills, and Jets. That's pretty easy.

Yep the Eagles did this year and no coincidence two games where they struggled the most were against this defensive scheme

If they haven't figured it out they don't deserve to win. A lot of other teams have figured it out.

We need the seeding to stay the way it is. Dolphins then Raiders with back-up QBs. Then Cheatriots or Chiefs at home. We lose to KC in KC.

however they clearly showed how Detroit successfully ran to the outside with the wide 9 setup. So I think its possible with the proper offensive scheme they can counter the wide 9

Don't forget the Steelers have had disappointing games against back-up/rookie QB's in the past. None of these games will be easy. JMHO.

I think it is possible that they could destroy teams who use the wide-9 against them but they are still unwilling to admit that they concern themselves with what other teams do against them.

They played them in some serious heat and you can see they were hurting. When the home offense is rotating the O-line and you're already short, you get what you saw down there.

Also, they'll be in Pittsburgh. Ben shouldn't have to worry about a silent snap count that the defense can time.
