maxey sees some reps

i read john maxey was seeing some first string reps this week in practice. he should be activated off the PS within the next day or two if thats the case. 6-5 285 from mars hill. sounds like they chose him over cashaud lyons.

he had 6 tackles in preseason.

John Maxey played his college ball at Division II Mars Hill University. They play in the same division (South Atlantic Conference) that Ricardo Colclough was drafted from.

they are the same size. maxey runs a 4.9 so maybe just quicker.

 

That's fast for a guy that size, nice! I just figured Lyons would have the edge being in the program for two years.

 

maybe brains, maybe out worked him? the coaches see them every day. as i remember all of our backup D- linemen played pretty well this past preseason. so thats a good thing.

Yes he did and he then proceeded to preach my favorite sermon of all time that has ever been delivered by mortal man. I can pretty much quote the whole thing off the top of my head. Ironically though he only won a few converts there. That sermon always helps me to remember that when I don't get a good response even after I feel like I've done my best that it has already happened to better man than I'll ever be. Hopefully Maxey wins a few Steeler fans hearts. LOL!
