I'm more like Bud on Urban Cowboy when he picks up the steak and throws it at the cook for not being done enough. Only then to have them duck and accidentally hit an ex con in the head and wind up fist fighting in the parking lot. LOL!

Well no but I also don't want it leaking blood and making me feel like I just shot it like the farmer on Napoleon Dynamite either. LOL!

I even eat my deer steaks well done. My buddy just brought me two big things of ground beef from a big 8 point he killed and also a couple of things of tenderloin that I've not got to eat yet. My wife made chili and spaghetti with that deer beef and it was really awesome. The summer sausage might be my favorite part though. That stuff will make your mouth water. Although the roast is phenomenal too.

I think they're recommended to be eaten that way though aren't they? My uncle fixes it sometimes and his actually are pretty tough. My papaw could keep them tender though.

Yep. Ground beef. It's awesome. You never had deer meat before? You can get ham, roast, steaks, tenderloin, jerky, and sausage from them.

No it's ground beef. I have a big roll of it. It literally looks exactly the same when you cook it.

Most of my friends and relatives that hunt will mix ground venison with ground beef to get the lean venison with the taste of beef.

My buddy just straight up calls it ground beef. It might even be labeled that. I'm about to go downstairs and look at it. The tenderloin he brought me is just labeled "loin".

Give BFT a break! After all, buffalo wings come from buffaloes! Don't they?

It's ok I'm constantly driven nuts by Minnesotans calling ground beef sloppy Joes barbecues. It's an insult to real BBQ.

It is called "ground beef" by deer hunters but it's not actual "beef". Down here that happens a lot with food and drink. People will say they want a "coke" when they are actually talking about like Mellow Yellow or Dr. Pepper or Sprite or whatever. I think people up north just call everything "pop". When he gave me that the other day he said "here's some ground beef from that 8pt I killed" and I just looked at him kinda odd but never actually questioned what he said. He said "trust me just put it in some chili or something" and so we did and it was great regardless.

I usually come home with a lot of leftovers from the family Christmas morning gathering so it'll probably be breakfast for dinner for the Rats game.
