Oh I agree with you Diamond but we are peaking at the right time and we are playing them at home. I like our chances for a Christmas miracle!

Love seeing the RATS in the far right column ala "in the hunt" of the playoffs seeding senerio and they can stay there. GO Steelers:herewego!:

Of course there are a million other permutations Glenn - but Steelers are at this moment in the driver's seat and it just sounds so defeatist for everyone to start throwing out meaningless games left on the schedule - I believe this team has used up all their mulligans this year already and has shown IMHO - a spark and team tenacity these last 4 games that perhaps we haven't seen since 2005 clawing out W's in succession at just the right time. The difference being - in 2005 we all absolutely had to keep playing what ifs right up to the very end because of their dismal start and we needed wins every week just to sneak in the back door. I know you know all this but it sure would be refreshing for folks to dwell on the positives rather than allowing so many fears and negatives to continuously creep in. I respect your opinions and posts no matter what - probably because I have the same exact jersey you're sporting in your avatar - so there's that.

The #2 seed, while not likely, is not out of the picture! They need to win out...never know what could happen!

Steelers need to focus on winning out. 11-5 might have a legit shot at the #2 seed, as long as the AFC West Cannibalizes it self a little bit.

It's much easier route with the bye week and a home divisional round game.

Just keep going Steelers one game at a time, and stay healthy!!

While there is a chance the 2 seed is available, there is also a chance that Cincy makes the playoffs. Both seem just as likely. For it to happen, KC and Oakland both need to lose 2 games. Could the broncos, titans, colts, and chargers step up and make it happen? Sure, a lot of them are playing for the playoffs as well.

Most important is the Steelers win the division. As 3 seed, they would likely get the Chiefs in the 2nd round. Which means the Patriots would get the winner of the AFC South and the Raiders.

If I had to root for an outcome, I'm gonna root that the Raiders win the west. That puts the Chiefs as the 5 seed. They'll beat the 4 seed and then will face the Patriots. A Chief win there puts the AFCCG in Pittsburgh.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if SDot turned out to be that 412 guy who had that Steven Jackson crush.

We still need to beat cincinnati... for one, it's cincinnati... 2, it's a division game and the ravens have a better division record...

I agree with the gist of this post. The Pats don't make mistakes. They are disciplined and don't hurt themselves with penalties or turnovers on offense. Brady is accurate, makes good choices, gets the ball out fast, and he and his coach are both excessively competitive. I don't believe he is the GOAT. However, he utilizes his talents and resources with extreme efficiency.

He's had 11 carries so far. Not huge numbers, but look who's ahead of him...

sorry Tomlin said D Will has a "legitimate" chance to play... so maybe "expected" is too strong yet?? He is practicing though...:smiley1:

That's the problem. People have been arguing they need to work 3 backs in games. D Will gets injured and now they are in a situation where they have to win every game and have to ride Bell.

I think RB'S do a lot better when they don't split the work....They get to see more ,they get a better feel for the blocking, they get a better feel for the pursuit, they just seem to play a lot better ...

If you want to rest a guy then get up big and let the bu have the 4th . quarter , I don't like when they split series or quarters and things like that....Bell had 4 games off he can handle the touches,, put the game away and then let someone else play...

This is great news! If we can get him back healthy for the playoffs that's a huge bonus!

We've got to take care of business first though!

I was surprised to see so many people think that the Ravens would. Eat the pats
we have one (a good one), he's just hurt. I'll never understand why people want to limit Bell's touches they way they do. Let's take one of the best weapons in the league off the field for some back up. He's the best receiving RB in the league, but let's not throw to him just so he doesn't get hurt!

I get that Burfict is a cheap shot artist and since his team is going nowhere he might try to cheap shot our better players. You can't let that affect your game, otherwise it makes his antics and dirty play worth while. Can't let it get in our heads. Let's just line up and beat them into the ground. If he tries to cheap shot people then let the players stick up for their teammate and hopefully the league will look into suspending him for a large chunk of next season.
