can ben break out of his road funk? we really need to start ringing up the scoreboard on the road because more than likely we will be playing there more often than not this year. why does he struggle at times so badly on the road being the vet qb that he is?

i was watching a fantasy fb show, which i don't really do since i've never been fond of it, but they are saying to sit ben this week because of his road woes. any insight into his struggles on the road? crowd noise is one thing but as i say he's a seasoned vet.

Bench Ben? did the Steelers sign another backup that i was unaware of. If so i hope he has more talent than just growing a beard.

I think alot of the problem stems from the environment and atmosphere as well as the timing issue he has with his receivers. Alot of his passes are to high or wide right or left. He needs to calm down and making precise decisions and take what the Defense gives him and no turn overs please!!!!

Ben has put up 9 points twice 12 points and a decent 20 points....To win in daily fantasy you need to average at least 25 points per slot on Draftkings , so for that reason he is really a must sit...At his price you would need about 30 Fantasy points from him, not really a strong bet on the road esp. facing a Bills D that only allows 230. a game on average...

So yes Ben does struggle to score Fantasy points on the road ....

I think he has a bad day "fantasy" wise because given 80% chance of snow they run a lot and run it well. Ben goes for 220 yds and a TD or 2.

Bell and Steelers defense are the only two I'd want to start in fantasy this week if it does snow.

Not sure what causes the discrepancy between road and home performance... The only difference is the travel aspect. Maybe comfortability, family, mental hang-ups, who knows, its a good question.

If I had to throw a dart at it, I would say family. And that's why I said in other threads I think he hangs it up sooner than expected.

I think he retires after the contract. He'll be 37. Especially if he gets another ring before then. No point in beating himself up any more.

So what was that...a 5 year contract signed in 2015? I would bet on the under but that's my opinion. Like you said though, if he gets another ring, I could see it sooner. Drop the mic and get out.

yeah it wouldn't shock me especially if he has another serious knee surgery. Steelers need to draft his successor in one of the next 2 drafts.

I think more and more that we are a timing offense. Ben has the ability to break the play and make something out of nothing, but our offense goes out of whack when we lose our timing or our momentum. Plus Ben has just played some downright awful games (PHI, MIA, BAL) missing wide open receivers. I can understand he probably rushed himself back for the Baltimore game, but no excuses for the other two.

I don't think Ben has a road problem, he's just played a few bum games on the road this year. I don't expect that to continue.

Hopefully we secure a home playoff opener by winning the division. The rest of the way shouldn't be that awful. Pats (sans Gronk) and Oakland are beatable

Steelers should be up by three scores easy. They cannot let this team hang around or bad things will happen.

I'll tell you Ben talks a lot of crap about others needing to pick their game up but he's thrown 3 picks already today or this game would be over. He stinks bad on the road.

That last int was a good fake by Ben on the pass to Jesse James, the LB on the Bills made a great play.

It was a good play, but also a terrible throw. It seemed like he had no control over the ball all day.
