I didn't see Hargrave's name in today's NFL Injury Report, but another site had him not participating in practice. Which has me worried, as we go on the road to face what is by far the league's best running attack.

[Darn it, I can't edit the title!]
    [[Nevermind, I figured it out!]]

What about DeAngelo Williams and Heyward-Bey? Steelers should start DeWill and deactivate Bell vs. Bengals. Need Heward-Bey for special teams and WR depth.

They key is to score early and often to force them to throw.

I feel like this has all the makings of a trap game. The Bills will come out and play like it's their super bowl.

St the end of the day, Steelers may or may not be up be twenty. Or, take it down to the wire.

We probably should game plan for the Bills first?

Well that's a load off. I've been terrified that Shamarko might not get to play this week.

I thought the bills defense was pretty good until I saw the oakland game. We have to enforce our will on these guys early and don't make Taylor look like a hof qb like we normally do against with qbs of an lesser level

Quite. We have a Special Teams Pointless Penalty reputation to keep up, after all.

Yeah, almost as much as when the NFL started using words like 'contain' as nouns....Around the same time businesses started using 'spend' as a noun.... I still can't bring myself to do it.....

I honestly would spy him with Shazier all game long. When he stays in the pocket let Shazier free Lance.

Which in turn would free the likes of Charles Clay. Not something I would want; dead last in passing for Buffalo being pointless.

Exactly. Force Tyrod to beat you with his arm. All of their WR including Clay are banged up. If Shazier is spying him that will also give him a head start on stopping Shady. They are the number 1 rushing offense and if you take that away you win. I have no doubt Taylor can't beat us with his arm. Also have to punish him and chance we get. If you absolutely punish him he won't want to run.

I'm seeing no Tweets on it. I can't believe they would rule them out already. Tomorrow maybe but it would probably be Friday. That's the determine day for Tomlin.

Charles could in fact play. However a knee injury is not going to help him either.

Add the fact that Sean Davis is eons better than he was at the beginning of the year and you may in fact have a point yet.

To sweeten the deal (metaphorically speaking because I hate it when teams are not at their best), should Sammy Watkins not play, there really is not much pressure on Artie or Ross even if Watkins plays. Both shut down Odell stupendously. To say they will not do it again against the likes of Watkins would be quite silly.

One final thing though. If Cordy Glenn should not play, here is hoping this is Bud Dupree's coming out party.

Indeed. I have not seen tweets or updates either. I will monitor that though for the sake of the site for writing intended purposes.

    Post-Gazette article just now:

    Injury report

Rookie defensive tackle Javon Hargrave (concussion) did not practice. He was limited to 12 snaps before leaving the Giants game. Reserve safety Shamarko Thomas (concussion), receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey (foot) and place-kicker Chris Boswell (abdomen) also did not practice.

Kicker Randy Bullock, who was signed Saturday and was 3 for 3 on field goal attempts against the Giants, handled the kicking duties in practice.

Running back DeAngelo Williams, who missed the past four games with a knee injury, was limited in practice.
