I'm sure it had a lot to do with the numbers he put up in the SEC. He rushed from a bunch of different angles and while he didn't look dominating on film, he had success sacking the QB and getting TFL from a multitude of different angles and on different ways. The NFL is just a different beast for some guys and he wasn't able to figure out how to consistently get to the QB.

I'd imagine with his injury history Eifert would have been seen as a bust by now too, but I did want us to draft him at the time. The big miss in that draft was Elam, for me.

I'm glad the ravens took him and not us LOL Patterson was a pretty big dud too. Although I think he'd be doing better with Ben throwing him the ball instead of in a run heavy offense in Minny. Still don't think he'd be what people thought he could be though.

i was big on elam in that draft. too bad injuries have taken there toll on him. similar to golson. JJ alone was hard to digest but JJ with golson and shamarko too. thats a 1st, 2nd and 3rd that have contributed very little to the defense and they were to be counted on. now shabazz getting taken was a down turn too.
