Don't make me quote/bump the thread where 3/4ths of this forum was hating on Green. That's his upside. Him and the defense won this game. Offense needs to put up 7 more or 6 depending on who your coach is. Secondly, on punt or kickoff returns just concede and take it wherever. Penalties on special teams killing us. AB hasn't run a punt back in 2 years. Just stop.

I'm sorry but he still had several drops that a player of his caliber should catch. The defense played amazing and Green had an average game. So far he hasn't played to the price we paid. I hope he ends up being amazing but not impressed so far.

To be fair, most of us had no clue when he would see the field if ever this season at the time. He was in every sense of the term a "Hanger Queen" or as we say in the Navy (when talking about a ship that's always in-port) USS Neversail.

Also, he's just starting to get some timing with Ben. He's deceptively fast, I worry every time he gets hit though.

If a 110 yards is average, I can't wait to see the game it takes to please you.

I think for the most part the Jury is still out on Green ,but from what I see we have a gem on our hands and every game he will make us believers!

LD is slowly becoming another weapon for the offense.

I think we can all admit Heath Miller was THE MAN at TE for the Steelers....In his 11 year career..he had 4-100 yard games....In Greens 4 games as a Steeler TE he has 1-100 yard game. Ill take it and be happy with it.

I think Green has a 30yd reception in the last 4 games, and he's averaging 22yds a catch on the season.

Honestly though, I am impressed that, even after winning against a quality opponent, there always is something to be worried about.

*Sigh.... American Gridiron Football truly is the pinnacle of the old saying "as fickle as the autumn weather."

They are having to defend Antonio Brown and Leven Bell. People are going to get open, if I remember right all his catches he was wide open. With one exception, any of the contested passes that went to him were dropped.

I don't dislike the guy, but I would hope a guy getting paid what he is, is able to do more than catch an uncontested ball.

If he continues to get better, than good on us for picking him up, but the jury is still out for me.

He had a nice catch with a defender all over him. He had a great game but he doesn't look like he has that 4.45 speed anymore. If he has even 3/4 the hands of Heath in his prime it will be a great signing. We will see.

What are you doing for me now generation. Nobody could look at the big picture.

You sound like a hater. I don't remember the Outlaw making plays over 15-20 yards when Green wasn't playing. That was his whole allure. AB running the whole tree, Bell running and in the flats, and then a TE that can go deep over the middle. Something we didn't have without him but keep hating.

So you are saying you don't like that he is able to get wide open?

That's not a what are you doing for me now attitude. There was little to no information about his time table. Hell there was even speculation if he was going to end up on IR!

Also, looking at how Ben needs to trust his guys before he'll go to them regularly....Now you're just using current success to say "Hey I was right!".

In the NFL if you're not on the field producing, then what good are you? Look at Martavis! He's still the best Home run threat the team has, but he's not doing anything for this team this year is he?

When he wasn't on the field Green wasn't doing anything for this team. You can assume he's going to come in and have an impact, but no one knew what his impact would be. You can Hope he's the same guy, but until he got out there and started getting in game shape, you had no idea what the team was paying for.

No one here wanted him to fail, they just wanted him on the field to see what he'd do.

I think Green is coming along more and more each game, 6-110-1 is a stat that is hard to be upset with. I will say that a lot has been made about how much he makes and how little he was on the field so far. Throw in some of the drops(5) and I can see why some including myself are a little down on him. The bad always overshadows the good so the drops stick out more then the good and 6-110-1 is pretty darn good. I have a feeling with each game he will keep getting better and lets face it we need him to with no Bryant and Coates hurt.

LOL not a hater, just not gonna give the guy a pass because he caught a couple balls he should have. You guys are all acting like I said the guy was terrible. I'm saying he was above average at best, comparing him to the outlaw is pretty much proving my point. Jesse James has had his fair share of down the field catches this year, he's still young and learning, and the key point I'm making in all of this is he's getting paid A LOT less right now.

I love it, but for $20M I'd hope he can do more than get open and catch a ball uncontested. It's not that hard to get open when Bell and Brown are also on the field. I'll be happy with Greens play when he starts consistently catching balls in traffic. He had 1 contested catch last night if memory serves correctly.

ben should have open options all over the field now. i hope it doesn't cause him to hold it looking for them. we really need to be ringing up the scoreboard more than we are right now with all the wealth on this side of the ball. put it all together for a run and don't forget guys like hamilton and rogers that can also break the backs of teams when the try to cover the big 3.
