I hope our coaches are having a talk with our boys in the secondary about not letting this guy get in their heads.

I think they should try to get in to his. Do you guys think Cockrel will chase him, or is that over???

Its the other way around. OBJ lets people get into his, and I hope our guys do.

If OBJ intentionally lets Burns and/or Cockrell into his head, half of the hard work is already completed for both or one of them.

I'll echo what the others have said. If OBJ let's a rookie get into his head, he's taken out of the game. Let Mitchell light him up just once and he won't even be a factor in this game.
I honestly have a feeling the bigger threat this game is Cruz. He has been rather quiet as of late and is due to go off in a big way.

No lol Burns doesn't trash talk and he isn't Norman. Also, OBJ and AB are all buddy buddy. Only way I see OBJ running his mouth is if Mitchell lights him up.

I get the sense OBJ wants to spar with the 'big name' CBs rather than anyone. It's about creating headlines.

I wouldn't sleep on Sterling Shepard either.

Also, I'd be surprised if there's any fighting. Non conference game and no previous bad blood that I can think of. It would have to be an egregious unsportsmanlike hit or something to set them off. If there does happen to be any extracurriculars, he is the guy with the previous history and you would think the refs would try to rail him in first. Aww...who am I kidding the refs can't get sheet right anymore.

I am more impressed that Cincinnati did not elect to draft him first over William Jackson III. Even though neither of us could have predicted WJIII's fate, for many to say that Shepard was not a first round pick was quite silly I thought back then in April.

Guess that means then Artie and Ross will have nothing to lose then come Sunday.

No excuses either. Just play your game and may the best man win.

Who says AB is buddy buddy with him? Doesn't matter if they are, AB doesn't play CB.

It's not just Norman who got in OJB head, other CBs were doing it too because the knew it would take him out of the game.

OJB must have developed a level of maturity though, because I haven't seen him beating up any kicking nets lately.

I am sure that will change come the final week of the season when he meets his best friend Josh Norman. :thumbs up:

Pick a fight with Burns or pick a fight with the sideline heat warmers. Which is more likely to happen first?

What? and ruin Cincy's draft rule number #1 of drafting a CB lol! I'll be honest though, I loved Shepard but did not see him as a first rounder. I thought he was perfect for our 2nd rounder though.

Burns will be the next elite corner in the league. Beckham will try to upstage him. Big test for Artie. He has it. Moxy. Crazy competitive. And he is only a rook. Finally after all these years a real corner. Gonna be a tough task but I see an interception in the future from Ol Eli...

If Burns picks one headed to OBJ. Artie will own him for years

I can see Artie being a great corner. To say he will be elite is a bit up there in spite of his ridiculous ceiling.

Now, Jalen Ramsey on the other hand? He is already a great corner turning elite very soon. Dude is not just a world class talent but world caliber athlete (maybe slightly less than Burns).

I think you don't put Burns on OBJ. You match him man for man against their #2 guy. If he can eliminate #2, you can double on OBJ with Ross and safety help over the top.

Well if he does then Burns needs to slam him like Norman did...He played like crap after that slam and dropped multiple balls in that game ...I would actually start the game with our biggest CB on him and tell him to be very physical with him early and often even go with the long whistle until you draw a flag...
