How about the brilliant offensive game plan . Hand the ball off for the first two series get no momentum putting Ben in third and long all day long. we got out coached , out played, and out scored today and deserved to lose.

 

But Lance that's been happening to offer with this team. It's time for a big change from the top on down the line. This team has to much talent and it's going to waste ever year.

Something is not right with him. He handed the ball off on 3rd-10 3rd and 6 3rd and 4 and when he was able to throw he was missing his target by 5 yds. Then eli rodgers was wide open on several occasions and he is throwing it to brown with 3 people on him..........

 

It's not that anyone has not appreciated what he's done, it's I believe he gets too much leanience from the coach. If Peyton Manning, Steve Young, Joe Montana can be benched then so can Ben. Especially if you are not performing. I don't think Landry jones would of faired any better but after 3 quarters of ineptitude, it's time for a change but Tomlin is too worried about what Ben is going to feel like and what the media is going to say. What you think he's feeling now and what the media is saying?

 

Your right about he didn't look right and should of changed the play calling away from the run on a stacked line. He kinda looked like he was on some pain med's for his knee. But here is where the coaching comes in, Haley or haven forbid Tomlin should say hey, if they are stacked get out of the run look for Eli or the tight end as they are open. Quit looking at only Brown and Bell. These types of conversations should be going on. Did you see Tomlins face during the game, he also looked like he was on something, that's not game coaching, and he sure didn't look right also.

 

I am sorry for you loss but want to point out how well you handled this..hats off to you my friend I am pretty sure I wouldn't have been so nice. Also Mods great job on putting an end to this. I love coming to this place and to talk Steelers with you all and there is no place for that kind of stuff here....thank you all.

 

Ben's accuracy was way off. Like, way off. He definitely seemed to be seeing the field slower - though would have to see the coaches tape to see if the Ravens were just covering well. Or the receivers were being lethargic (which AB seemed to suggest).

Have to say that losing DHB our of the game had an effect on things.

So I agree that it's not disrespect to Ben to talk about pulling him from the game. Yes, changing QBs is not the same as changing any other position. But the offense was *that* dysfunctional, you have to do something to change gear. And if Landry went in and they lost... well, the result is the same.
