This is how I feel today.....

 

Yes that's what you do when you have a whole who is struggling like Ben through the first 3 quarters. Ben shouldn't have been out there but he did knock the rust off and I expect the normal Ben back next week.

 

I expected to see what I'm seeing here right now, just looking around a few threads. I'm going to try not to add to the angst too much, but-

Following the team since '72. Thick and thin, it's been way more thick and it's going to stay thick I think.

Still-

I've seen this year's vaunted, hyped up, highly touted team play 2 and 3/4 of some of the worst football I've seen in all those years.

However- 4th quarter today, I saw a glimmer of hope from the offense, and I thought the D played really hard all day- one bad play.

So I'm not giving up- yet. This franchise traditionally rises up when on its heels at home (cue the tape back to 1976, week 6, and keep rolling forward) and I am optimistic about a win next week and more wins moving forward.

The biggest problem this team has had in the past few years is not Tomlin, Ben, Cortez Allen, and/or stick a name in here. It's an inability to stay healthy and together. Every week it seems they have to put some patchwork, and it's cracking under the strain.
