Wheaton's last year as a Steeler?

Seattle game last year???? I am on the fence here. I think if he would have been healthy early Coates wouldn't have seen the field much.

 

My counter to that would be "pretty much every other game ever". LOL! I just can't personally justify keeping a dude around and paying him over basically one game. Again, it's nothing personal against Wheaton. I just don't think he has good chemistry with Ben and I don't think he ever will. Also he does seem to have some injury issues lately as well. Not saying he's a bad guy or anything like that. I just think we can and will do better. We're not WR hungry anyway.

 

Idk BFT I'd say they looked wr hungry last week.

 

Well if Coates is healthy and Bryant gets it together we should be fine. Plus if Green works out we will be even better.

True but 2 out of 3 of that scenario I could see happening.

Question is Wheaton healthy enough for us to even trade him if we wanted to? Not sure when the exact deadline is. But I don't see him being a Steeler next year especially with how Hamilton played against the Pats.

 

I could honestly see us re-signing Wheaton.
Next season Brown, coats, Bryant, Wheaton. I could then see Hamilton, Rogers and DHB fighting for the last two spots.

 

The Seattle game was an outlier. He's basically Bobby Shaw.

 

Yeah right dude this is DHB's team TOTALLY! Pretty much every good play we've made in his tenure has been solely because of him. Seems like I read that online somewhere... LOL!
