seriously? Butler didnt have 1 blitz he could have dialed up?

Our defense is sad, even our Renegade video is getting boring. I think we are last in league with sacks and our cb's have yet to pick off a ball

I might keep a few of the guys on D, but I would get rid of the rest.

The sacks and INTs got busted smoking weed with Bryant and Bell and are suspended for the year. Seriously, I think this scheme will result in a new team record for fewest sacks.

 

They have to play this way because we have no CBs that can cover man to man! Seriously, the secondary is one of, if not the worst in the NFL, watch other games, receivers catch more uncontested passes with no one even close to them in one series against our secondary than I see in any other team for an entire game.

 

We have the worst group of OLBs in the league. Couple that with a below average secondary and there is your answer.

Butler is a 3-4 coach, Tomlin is a cover-2 guy. Perhaps you are blaming the wrong person. Somebody called off the blitzing that worked so well last year.

 

The issue is the personnel. Clearly these OLBS are not getting in done.


A new paradigm (it is really not even new anyway) will have to take shape next year; 4-3 pass rushing defensive ends.
