Available young QB's out there!

For reasons unbeknownst to me, Clemson and Baylor are my 2 favorite College Football teams. I like Tajh Boyd since his college days at Clemson. His strength is the deep ball, but he makes all the throws, at his pro day the ball never hit the ground.

I was also impressed by his mobility, escape ability, and throws on the run. Plus he has poise in the pocket and makes good throws under heavy pressure. Plus, he can run with the ball like a RB. But he prefers to throw.

He appeared in one pre-season game with the Jets, did real well, and got cut.
The Steelers picked him up, he botched a few snaps from a 3rd string center, and never got any playing time, and got cut.

He went to Montreal of the CFL and got cut without playing time.

He surely rubs people the wrong way because he has the mentality of a starter and team leader, and its probably hard for him to accept a lesser role.

When you look at this highlights, you have to understand that Clemson plays the best of the best all year, you don't suddenly lose your ability and confidence.

I truly believe that the Steelers made a TERRIBLE ERROR IN JUDGEMENT when they let him go without seeing what he could do in game action.

There is too much talent there to work with, and Ben will be gone in 2 or 3 years.
The Steelers are lucky that Tajh is still available and in shape, they could put him on the practice squad this year and let him compete for backup next year, and the starter in 2018. Then he could give us 10 good years of play.

 

Yes, my apologies. I am not accustomed to seeing a smile like that on any sort of football message board. So that was my sexist BS coming out, and I "commented" on the picture and NOT the content of your post, which was worth my attention. I don't know what came over me, as I am not usually that sort of person. It was early in the AM here on the West Coast, so I'll blame it on the lack of coffee.

I don't pretend to know everything about players, positions etc. Heck my 17 yr old gave me grief after his team's center is out hurt and every kid they have put in there has had at least a couple bad snap resulting in turnovers when I asked "how hard is it to play center?" Lol

Oh, good. Regardless...I think the smile (and it's a helluva smile) also was oddly juxtaposed to the pessimism on this board after Sunday's loss. LOL

Sooo...in honor of original post and a Clemson fan! I luv Tajh, Sammi ,Deshaun etc any of the players my kids have met or hung out with!

 

Well now we know who got Bryant hooked on the herbage

 

He's out on bail facing assault charges, I dont think he is worth messing with until he gets his legal problems fixed...

 

That's a really philosophical question. I bet Bryant would give a great answer to that in his haze.

 

Tajh Boyd is a Free Agent so if it was a mistake they can easily get him back.

 

His charges have been dropped after paying fine and community service.

He said he should of walked away...and he should of....but maybe because I'm partial to Clemson and Tajh...I can't help but believe rumors that it was ___ ___ bouncer who aggravated the sitiuation knowing it was Tajh.

But that's what it means to be mature etc.

I would still luv him to get another chance but Steelers probably think been there done that... I hear he's coaching at a football acadamy.

 

If he can take wiz without p*ssin down his leg. he is better than LOLandry

 

The Steelers already have a young 3rd string QB, Tajh already proved he isn't a NFL QB.

 

So Natalie, just out of curiosity, did you tell your 17 year old son your picture is posted on the internet and some complete stranger thinks you're a "hottie". I'd pay money to hear that conversation. LMAO
