People complain about AB and his celebrations. Or players in general celebrating. I hear the term "Act like you been here before"
thrown around a lot.
We're 6 time Super Bowl champs. Some fans are outta control after a loss, maybe they need to "act like they've been here before"

I still don't why people are so shocked of the outcome. It's not like we haven't done this before.

 

I agree with your observation, gloom and doom is prevalent here today on this board, it's not the first game we have lost to a one win team, and with Ben out that isnt the first time thats happened before either, so we just have to move on and this team will have to come together and fight and scrap to get as many wins as they can, if everyone steps up they can be special through the rest of this season, lets stop the nonsense talk like why didnt we draft dak prescott or we are the only team with injuries, just chill out and quit the negativity.....

At any point.. I think we as fans understand the old age statement about playing down to the competition.


Until a Tomlin led team changes this narrative (25-87 over the past six is difficult to look at but it is truth), expect more of the gif. from the fanbase....


... then again.. this whole "playing down to the level of the competition" and some of our perceptions seeing this as one off losses is making some of us experience a phenomenon known as the Semmelweis Effect.

Isn't that what the message board is for? I feel like I have said this 1000 times today. Everyone deals with a loss differently. If people want to jump off the deep end because we lost to the Dolphins, so be it. Doesn't make anyone less of a fan.

Why don't you tell me what it's for then if not to discuss the Steelers. I was under the impression that was the point of it.... Sure would be pretty boring if we were just clones of one another and all had the same reaction and same opinions wouldn't it? The point is, we sucked yesterday. It was a disappointing loss so we as fans are frustrated. Come here, vent with fellow fans and move on.

 

Fear: Don't worry man, you are exactly correct as to this being a message or 'discussion' board, and your description is exactly correct. Glenn, is just a dime a dozen internet tough guy, that has to call out others 'fandom'. Never brings any value to a discussion, always telling other people how they should act and react.

This is a place to have discussions, if all you do is whine and complain about other people, or act like you are a 'better' fan, just shut up instead, no one needs your stupid grand standing. Everytime I see Glenn's tough guy picture I skip right past his post, never anything of value in there, he belongs on the ignore list with RealSteel

 

To clarify: the sub-.500 teams we've lost to over the past six years have that 25-87 combined record. That is NOT the Steelers' record against sub-.500 teams.

 

I can remember a thread started after the horrible loss to Philly...and it was something like this board was like therapy. Where we could vent , express our opinions and concerns. If this had happened to any other team...you all know we would be saying...stick a fork in them because they're done.

 

I'm mad, angry even. I'm embarrassed for my team and very disappointed in them and when I say Them I mean THEM!!

It's a loss sure but not just a loss. It was the worse performance of a Steelers game I've seen in a long time. If we'd played the Ravens or patsies in a hard battle but loss I'd be upset we lost but that happens, but to be beat down like this by this team while we are suppose to be a Super Bowl contender with a high powered offense and to hear others have issues with fans upset over This loss doesn't taste well.

Offense --- Ben sucked from the 1st to last play. Look at the stat breakdown and watch the game, even his completions were off. The play calling sucked even when Landry was in there . The OL stunk. We knew they struggled with Phillies wide 9 but Miamis???

Defense---- Ugly...... Nuff said because I could write a book here..... And where is Deebo?? When chick out plays him multi games it's time for him to hang up the cleats ....... Thank you Dirty Red!!!!! At least someone showed up.

Tomlin----- we ALL were worried about the Steelers playing down to Miami and that's on Tomlin and history .... This team not being prepared is on him. In 82 degree weather Timmons is throwing up on the field suffering from " heat exhaustion " Vince needs 2 IVs for dehydration. Tuitt and DHB reportedly suffering from cramps..... Too many players not to be an issue.

Haley- must have been drunk with his play calling ,,, no where near what he did the other games ...

Butts----- the jury is starting to come back into the room and it isn't looking good.....

I didn't like loosing to the Eagles and their rookie QB but it happens....... But Miami showed the Steelers how to play physical and kicked out butts and they SUCK!!!!!!!
