Ok we all know they were slobbering all over him in the preseason and how he would be pissed when he got back and the Pats would run the table. I have NFL network playing in the background as I watch the kids this morning and first story they are covering is Brady's return versus a winless Browns team and how he is just going to go off. Can we get a Dennis Green video in here please.

Thanks. My buddy said he thinks it's gonna be us vs the tribe. Cleveland is hot for sure. I think they sweep Boston. I'm fine with that because I really don't wanna play Boston if we do make it.

As a sometime fan, I'd much rather it be the Dodgers but, Cubs are WAY overdue!

Yeah it would be awesome to see it happen. I can tell you this though. Every time some negative play happens in a game I just get this sinking feeling in my gut that the curse is gonna find another way to rear its head again. We were winning last night by 4 runs but I was still on the edge of my seat. I really wonder if any other fan of any other team can identify with feeling that way. Just seems like that's such a "Cubs" thing or something.

Ironically, Theo Epstein gets heavily credited for that and now he has also built us in to a legit contender as well. If he builds a champion in Chicago he will go down as the greatest GM of all time. Just by default. LOL!

I would like to congratulate you all for quickly changing a Brady thread to a baseball thread. If only ESPN would do the same. The Brady suckfest this morning was sickening!

With all the media applauding his return after being suspended for cheating what does that tell you.

It continued this morning on sports talk radio. If you listen to the sports talking heads, Brady is the only QB in the league! (Sorry, Brady and Dak!)
I liked your other avatar better.

When the Cubs hired him I knew he'd make contenders out of them and probably win a WS. Almost there.

Definitely the best GM in baseball today, maybe all time.

If we hold on tonight we will get by the Giants and MadBum. That will be awesome. Jake hit a great 3 run homer off of him in the 2nd. The game is 3-2 right now in the top of the 7th. I wish like crazy Rizzo's bat would get hot.

We choked. Again. LOL! Looks like I was right when I picked the giants to beat us. They played with zero heart tonight and our all stars got no rbi's. Literally zero. We are cursed for sure. At least deer season has started and my buddy killed a big one this weekend and will hook me up with some yummy summer sausage to eat as comfort food. LOL!

Man I honestly got SO mad last night that when Lackey gave up that single to Moore and loaded the bases I just felt such despair that I said "I'm done!" and went to play Gears 4 because I just couldn't stand the pain of watching another season of heartbreak. My buddy texted me and said he was doing the same thing. He told me to keep an eye on the score and he'd check in the morning. We were just so disgusted. Then as I had been playing Gears for a while I just checked to see how badly we had lost and realized we had taken the lead and came upstairs to watch Chapman close it out. My buddies were dying laughing at my ranting and raving and channeling of the feelings of all Cubs fans in that moment. LOL!

Man, so mad at you right now, want to tell you not to watch another game, QUITTER! Serves you right, missed out on a great win and cheapens your celebration with them. :beee:

Lackey sucks, don't know what Theo's love affair with him is. I knew from his days with the Angels and Redsox when the Yanks would go up against him that he's not a guy you want in the big spot.

You can thank the Yanks for Chapman too.

Better hope for Washington to beat the Dodgers, your heart won't take a Cubs/Dodgers series :lolol:

They destroy right handed pitchers. Thats the series I want to see though.

You're a moron if you turn off another game, especially a possible series clinching game. Watch it to the end! You've waited so long for this.

Yeah I won't do it again unless it's hardcore obvious that it's over and it's really late. I mean I kept checking in on it but it was just too dang infuriating and I'm honestly supposed to be resting because I got diagnosed with stupid bronchitis Monday and have felt like crap for a while. I had been up to almost 4am the night before watching them choke away the Bumgarner game and I was just so mad I couldn't stand it anymore. I was getting on my wife's nerves hollering at the tv. It's just hard to have faith you're gonna pull it out when your pitchers are literally leading the series in rbi's. Think about that. Pitchers. My wife wants us to play the Nats but I'm super afraid of Daniel Murphy so I really don't know. I just hope this game was a wake up call for the offense and maybe they'll finally get it together. It's incredibly agitating to watch your infield, which was literally the complete NL All Star infield, get mowed down by a pitcher that has an era of 4 and was 12-13 this year and then to hear the announcers constantly praising the stupid Giants and talking about their "even year" nonsense. I will say though that if we do make to the WS I think it would be neat to play the Indians just because it would basically be two underdogs playing each other. I just mean underdogs from the sense that they've both been in an enormous championship drought.
