Yeah, I can't see them using the designation on anyone other than Dupree if he's even remotely ready. Just far too much upside to keep him on IR

Looks like Golson has a chance to break Zumwalt's record for game checks collected without ever suiting up.

Feiler looked ok in preseason.... Maybe we get lucky and he becomes another Villanueva.

Cannot wait for him to do so. Pittsburgh is going to need his legendary destructive explosive power to generate more heat.

    Harris is the surprise!

He went from a bruise (Hematoma) and practicing to being on the injured reserve?

    WTH?!

Ok, now I'm confused. I thought Golson should have gone on IR at the beginning of the season rather than eating up a roster spot. But a good logic was presented for keeping him and getting him some playing time later in the year. Either he is not healing well, or keeping him on the roster was a bone head move. Either way, I think the odds of him ever playing a snap for the Steelers is minuscule.

From what Dupree said he is not even close to be ready to start training for football. In guessing he is done for the year.

Too bad about Dupree. Might just be me, yet l have a bad feeling about this game. Maybe it's just the how the Jets have always given this team fits.

Is Golson the new money pit? Now that Zumwalt is gone.

Probably walked past Gilbert at some point by mistake.

Disappointing about Golson, obviously, but since we picked up J Gilbert and Burns has started ok, his absence isn't as painful as it once could have been.

Let him heal. It's not like he takes up half the cap, like Woodley did.

I think they played it exactly how they should have. Until you have to make a roster move due to injury don't.
Maybe they felt Golson could return before Dupree so they kept him on the roster and IR'd Dupree with plans to use the designated to return option on Dupree?
Besides who were they giving Golson's roster spot to anyway?

Matt Feiler or Al-Hajj Shabazz currently come to mind. But I realize that is strictly in hind sight. I guess it still was a logical choice. Besides, Shabazz tackles like my little niece.

Ok now I am confused tht article says he had the surgery, I thought the tag line the team was running with said he hadn't had surgery and Dupree was just rehabbing the injury.

But which do you think would be more useful come postseason? Golson or Dupree? I'm going with Dupree who has shown he can play.

Heck, I'm still trying to figure out if Greene's problem is his head or his ankle.

I just don't know how a player can be on injured all year long than come back at the end of a season or the playoffs and how they can be effective. Especially a player who has never played a down or even a player like Dupree who has limited playing time. They may be just okay but You shouldn't count on them.

Now if your a seasoned veteran like Ben or AB, then that's a different story, but even they would be rusty and not in game speed or game shape.
