I hope and I believe that hines will stay a steeler, but I am willing to bet there are 31 other teams that would take him for the vet min. I hope that he stays. In my opinion this would be as bad as any player we have ever let go. Including harris and woodson. I know he is not what he was as a player, but his leadership can not be replaced

Make him asst wr coach but we need the roster spot and we could greatly benefit from his wealth of knowledge

I think Hines can still play and contribute. It's not like speed was his thing anyway. But bruce airheads just refused to use him. I sure hope he comes back for one more year. The Steelers would be stupid not to bring him back.

Do something out of the box. Make him a player-coach.

I think he wants more money too but he didn't do anything in Pittsburgh that would make someone pay him more.

    "he didn't do anything in pittsburgh . . . "

unfortunately, the first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions cotchery is him dropping a slant at denver that looked like it might have gone for a td and put the game away early.

He has actually said he wants to stay in Pittsburgh so anything is possible.

What do they need Hines' spot for? Its not about his roster spot...its about the money.

Not so much one drop in one game but his 16 receptions for 237 yards for the season. That doesn't prove he is worth more money by any stretch of the imagination.

That's very mislead. I'd be interested in seeing how many snaps he was on the field this season. When he was in, he produced.

Look at his stats over the last few years... and ask yourself why teams weren't beating his door down before the Steelers signed him.

Like I said, he didn't do anything to prove he deserves more money.
