Like someone mentioned, Like Philly, New England got our number. Bellincheat is ten times the coach Tomlin is. Brady will destroy our defense. It will probably be another blowout. Hope I'm wrong though.

Good one. That could also be a team photo after the Philly game. Or a selfie of me after Carson Wentzlisberger's 73-yard TD dump off to Sproles after evading our alleged pass rush. He torched us so bad it got me in Oregon.

Is Pittsburgh in trouble when Brady returns?

    Here is a better question.

How many points are the Pats going to put up when he does?

I won't be able to say whether the Steelers will be in trouble with the Patriots game until week 7 gets here. These teams are funny like that. They could blow up and hit a streak at any time. I think this team will be fine, in the long run.

I`m worried about the games before that. Let`s get back on track and get some momentum. If we are on a losing streak going into that game it won`t matter.

The offense is going to have to step up and carry the team for a while with all the injuries on defense we have.

You can't disrupt timing routes with a soft cushion in a crappy zone scheme like we run. Brady will pick us apart. We can beat them, we have the talent, we just need good coaching and we need to execute well (something we don't always do). Coaching and execution will win or lose that game

The Pats won't put up 30+ points unless the Steelers turn the ball over, as Miami did. The reason is that Brady and co. surgically dissects the Steelers. The D won't give up the big play, but they'll allow Brady to march down the field 6-8 yards at a time, in clock-eating drives. Some of those drives will be TDs and some will be FGs. This is why 27 points is about right.

But we all know that Ben can't go many games without throwing a bad pick or two a game. And the Steelers will likely also put the ball on the turf and lose the turnover battle at -3. If/when this happens, and Brady is given a short field, the points will be in the 40s.

Thats my point, they have to do something different to disrupt them.

And pressure, Brady can't be allowed to check his email in the pocket.

If the Pats continue ovulating they could lay another egg in week 7.

They can. But we won't know until we see who's out. The Steelers D needs to be healthy. And I like what I am seeing so far from Burns. If he continues to develop he could be the shutdown corner the team needs. Shazier needs to be good to go, and that might the week that Dupree returns?

Brady has a few weeks to shake off the rust. This game will say a lot about the Steelers and whether or not they are championship caliber.

thing is if we play soft zone its over. Brady WILL score in the redzone, i repeat he WILL score in the redzone. got to play gritty and knock him up to win. kill brady and limit turnovers, oh and make fg's and should win.

I've read so much on this topic that a lot of people (not everyone) are chalking up the game against New England as a loss on 10/23 at home. Here's my honest question to all of you who feel that way. If we can't beat the Patriots at home in a few weeks, then what possibly gives any of you any reason to believe that they would beat them up in Foxboro in the playoffs? I understand, believe me I understand that's simply a match up that doesn't favor us historically, but in my opinion if we can't handle business at home in a few weeks against the Patriots, then we will for sure not have home field advantage and we will then look to next year for maybe #7. I'm confident that we can beat Denver. Should have beat them last year in the playoffs if AB was playing and if we don't fumble late in the third quarter on our way of going up by two scores. But we lost!

So I'm just curious what are people's thoughts on what the hell we are playing for this year! Because it reads to me that if Brady is playing against us, we lose and better luck next year!

As I mentioned the matchup never seems to favor us historically against the Patriots and this year is a new year! I will be extremely disappointed if we lose to the Patriots at home in a few weeks even though that doesn't guarantee playoff success or a super bowl berth, but it might just mean a whole lot in the way of securing home field advantage and I would rather have that game at home versus the Steelers playing at Foxboro where well, good luck with that! Just win your damn home games and be at least 6-2 on the road!

So based upon the title of this thread and most of the comments to it requires me to ask a simple question or two.....why in the hell are we going to play the game then...just forfeit and rest your players? I mean we can't win it, right? Good Lord! Oh another question now....then we won't win the Super Bowl this year either because it will be New England and not us, right?
