Nope because first off his OL didn't help him much...His OC didn't help him munch...The running game didn't help him much...His WR'S didn't help him much ...And Last off and certainly not the least we have no good options behind him..Wheaton can't blame anyone but himself , he had 5 chances and he messed up on 3 of them the same as he did in camp ...That's 6 drops out of 10 balls with other options behind him , no way should he be playing...

I don't think he dropped 3 out of 5 did he ? I also know he didn't drop 3 out of 5 in camp ...And yes any WR that drops 6 out of 10 should not be playing whether that is Eli,DHB,Wheaton or whoever ...

He was targeted twice caught one and then tripped over his own feet and knocked himself out of the game. Pretty sure that's an epic fail.

PWP you are the one setting the criteria I'm simply applying it to everyone who played. Wheaton had a horrible day that should have opened the door for Rogers to showcase his skill set that you have been bragging about however he didn't and knocked himself out of the game.

He actually did make a good catch and he actually hurt himself on the cut, that is why he fell ...As far as his targets that's not his fault more the fault of Wheaton for taking targets and dropping them ...Did Eli drop balls ?

I do agree we will have to get better play from the slot , but Eli is still clearly better in there than Wheaton...If Eli can't go this week it will not make this Team better if they play Wheaton in the slot....That is what I am saying ...

I was off on his playing time but as I suspected, his impact has been pretty much nil.

Give him time, he'll get better.

I actually think loss of Rogers was a huge blow to offense at the time. Lose Rogers and Wheaton dropping balls forced Ben to lose confidence in anyone not named Brown. Hope he's able to come back this week. Get him back along with Bell should take pressure off Brown.

No he didn't drop balls because he knocked himself out of the game.

He cut to hard trying to make a play..I don't fault a guy for that ...I do hope if he can't go they put Coates or AB in the slot .....

Not to mention that Rogers didn't get the start Sunday. PWP needs to get out of the prediction making business.

I predicted this Defense would break sooner than later I think i got that 1 right...Just because Eli didn't start doesn't mean that he shouldn't have ...That TD drop by Wheaton really started us off on the wrong foot..

Come on PWP this wasn't the immaculate recption, the toe drag in the back of the end zone or the butt catch. He kicked his own feet and knocked himself out of the game. On a day of epic level gaffes this sum it all up.

If Ben starts using his RB's and TE's more, it will open things up for the WR's. BUT Ben has to stop looking for the HR every time. He has to dink and dunk balls to his TE's and RB's. This is more consistent than throwing 20-30 yard passes every time he sees one on one coverage. These guys (coats, rogers, DHB, and Wheaton) are not good enough yet to expect greatness. Wheaton has always had issues dropping passes and on Sunday he wasn't even using his hands...letting balls just hit him in the body. He needs a few weeks before he's ready IMO. I'd like to see us just settle on Rogers and Coates and give them the reps they need. Both need experience before they get better.

Nobody seemed to be getting open. Sometimes a little more time from the oline would have helped. Sometimes Ben was off. Sometimes they just needed to do better.

And we need another TE behind James. Hopefully Green is back soon.

Yeah I say he's gone and honestly I won't miss him. Ben was throwing him stuff Limas Sweed could have caught and if Limas can then Wheaton should. I honestly wish him well but I just don't think he's a good fit here.

If, and its a big "if", Bryant can stay off the weed, we'll have:

    AB
    Bryant
    Coates
    Rogers
    DHB

Thats pretty sweet. I doubt they even make Wheaton an offer.

Honestly I don't even know what leverage his agent will have to negotiate with. I mean what's he gonna do just say "REMEMBER THE SEATTLE GAME?! IT WAS AWESOME!" and then Colbert will be like yeah but to you remember the OTHER games that were NOT the Seattle game? LOL!

Remember the 70 yard catch and TD run that nearly won the Ravens game last year if Vick could have just been able to move the ball 10 yards to close the game out? Good times.
