Can someone please explain how this was an interception? DHB had the ball the entire time until the DB was able to turn around and take it. Not that it matters much, but what?

I can't help you. Hey bey caught it while getting socked in the facemask at the same time. No PI and no official review of a turnover. I have no answers

Neither player had control. The Eagles came up with the ball. It should be reviewed and if it did not hit the ground then it's an INT since he came up with it. DHB did not have control .

He looked to control it all the way to the ground... I don't see the ball move at ALL. The DB had nothing but his arm trapped by DHB.. Again, it doesn't matter, but he caught it, the DB turned around after being on the ground and took it.. Down by contact?

This is exactly it. And it wasn't pass interference either.

DHB had control. The DB's arm was inside HEyBey's arm, but the ball was pinned to Bey's body with full control with his hand and it was never ripped away from him.

You think this was full control? I guess we will agree to disagree.

Wrong. If both players have the ball, it's the offense who keeps possession.
It should have been reviewed, given a TD and, since we had a holding call, move the ball back 10 yards from the LOS. However, as it wasn't a close game, it is not reviewed (that was the explanation refs gave after Harrison's int @ WASH).

The problem with this that the DB never had the ball til they were both on the ground.

The Eagles player came up with the ball and there was no evidence that I saw that it hit the ground. Since DHB didn't have control and the other guy comes up with it . Its a pick. I'm just telling you what the refs called . I thought it should have been reviewEd. the replay I saw didn't show anything to overturn. That was a fight for the ball.

Yes. It should have been a TD after review.

Btw both players didn't have the ball . neither player had the ball. There is a difference. So it's a free ball if it doesn't hit the ground.

Yup just watched it again in as frame by frame I could.

DB came in and punched one arm away before the ball gets there and smacks him in the face with his other arm as he spun around.

HeyBey had full control as they went to the ground (with the ball inside the defenders elbow not pinned on his elbow, but to Bey's body inside his elbow), but as the DB rolled over he managed to get his other hand on the ball an squeeze his arm down. (His right hand was on the ground under HeyBey as they went to the ground before rolling over)

I know it was a bang-bang play in real time, jeh, but you don't think hitting the facemask of the WR before the ball arrives is pass interference?

And if you are correct the score is 34-10. You happy now?

No one cared. I'm sure the steelers coaching staff would have been asking for reviews or at least having a discussion.

Actually if your argument is correct it's incomplete and a 10 yard holding. Still 34-3

    Don't get mad at me.

I'm just saying it shouldn't have been an INT. At the very least it was PI and a holding call (offsetting) and replay the down.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say you can't punch a guys arm away and smack him him the face before the ball gets there and get credit for an INT.

They were taking this loss either way.

Yes. We're not saying that's the reason we lost. We're just arguing about a weird call.
No, the outcome wasn't affected. But still, some of us thing it was a completion.

I just saw a different view of it. Although DB was also going for the ball it was also face shielding.

DHB didn't maintain possession through the catch (going to tell the ground). Pretty cut and dry...

They gave the Bengals a similar contested ball last week on an interception. Ball threw to Coates and defender grabs it with Coates arm trapped inside and both fought with it each other going to the ground. So you are saying that should have been Coates ball?
