I'd say Green as well, he was close to practicing before they had to make the cuts to 53

Green a few games in, Dupree and Golson after the bye (week 8 bye right?)

I feel like they kept Golson on the 53 under the assumption that he will be back before Dupree. I could be wrong tho

Green. I think Dupree is in for a long year because hernia surgery aint no joke.

Based on the title of the post, I have to go with Dupree. In order to return, you actually had to be there? The other 2 have never played for the Steelers. One has played as much in the NFL as I have.

yea i have a hard time with the golson thingy. why the big expectations for his return? 4-5 practices and he didn't even complete the last one. in two years. he hasn't played meaningful football since he was in college.

Golson depends on how well the other CB and DBs develop.
If Burns, Davis and Gilbert all are at a competitive level, I don't see the Steelers giving him playing time later on the season.

Green should be the first one. Dupree's surgery isn't as smooth to recover as we would like.

Why is Golson still on the active roster? Not like he will contribute this year?

Dupree. Golson is out of the boot but has ways to go.... and Green's status is unknown.

Dupree didn't have surgery they are letting it rest and see if that does it.

During the latter part of the season he might be able to contribute in nickel and dime packages.

Green. Golson won't play this year and Dupree will take awhile to heal.

Green will be ready after week 6.

The other two may not play (or, at least, play effectively, all season).

I think you are being a bit optimistic that a guy who has never played a down in the NFL will have much value come crunch time down the stretch. I hope you are right. But I'm questioning where Dupree will be when he comes back and he has a year of real experience in the book.

    Got a link by chance?

I've read conflicting articles. Is Green's problem his ankle or his noggin?

The Steelers obviously think he can contribute something, they haven't put him on IR.

He apparently has some sinus issues from what a SD coach said. I saw the interview where he said he was running good too.

Don't know how much he'd contribute but if they can get him some snaps, it would be helpful for his overall development and could look forward to him contributing at the start of next season rather than be behind the 8-ball still.
