Going thru some big time adjustments. Finding out that the NFL
is no ACC & Big 1o. This will make them better players. I commend Keith Butler, Carnell
Lake for getting them game experience. The creme will rise to the top, keep grinding men.

Let them get the reps. Burns had a sweet breakup in the end zone. They would be buried if LeBeau was here.

Burns made a nice pass break up. Saved a touchdown.

They both need to work on their tackling. Need to put Benard and the ground, not let him score. That was also killer as they still had 30 yards to go, and didn't run enough time off.

Yep, that breakup in the end zone showed Burns athletic ability. Keep giving them some playing time like today. It could really help us latter and hopefully in the playoffs.

Agree, glad they are getting their feet wet which will only aid their progress.

On another note, was Justin Gilbert active? Didn't think to look for him yesterday. Didn't hear his name called either.

I did not realize that counted as a start. I guess it makes sense.

I want to see how much longer it is until we put Artie Burns in Press Man off the line. That was what he ranked 1st at coming out in the draft. I think him missing time in Preseason has something to do with it. He needs to get his handwork correct for the bump off the line and make sure his hips are flipping properly on the release. But Artie seemed to do very well on the snaps he got at outside corner other than 1 missed tackle.

It will take some time.. but I do believe Artie Burns can be a solid no. 1 corner. His latent athletic ability is hard to fathom and his vast potential yet to be tapped. Same goes for Sean Davis obviosuly.

All that remains for both is the reintroduction of fundemntals.. or rather.. a further emphasis on them.

Artie Burns pass breakup preventing a TD was a play that made him look like a vet. He played it perfectly all the way to the end , but let's remember he is still a rookie. Let's proceed with caution and give him limited defensive snaps.

As soon as he can crack the starting lineup that will move Gay back to the slot and Davis back to the Bench. It may be next year but I like how Artie is developing.

That's what game time is for. You have to take the good and bad early in the year. They'll round out.

Yeah, that's what going to happen if he does it this year. Doubt he does it without injury though.

What I would like to see is Davis come in when Mitchel goes down instead of Shamarko....
