He had some type of knee injury, which is why Fort was in the game in the 4th qtr. He told the media after the game he will be fine, at least they have depth at ILB.

But honestly though when does a player ever say something is totally jacked up? I just hope like crazy that it's nothing too bad and he doesn't miss anytime. We need all the help we can get on that side of the ball.

Really the only difference maker we have on defense for this team as of now, Lets hope he is
capable of playing in all games this year.

Yeah Blount. Same type deal while I was shooting today. My buddy said just concentrate on the front site post. I said I am trying to but it keeps moving.

It's still worrisome. I mean, look at all the years Timmons has played.. He's a fast playing ILB like Shazier. Has he ever been taken out as a precautionary measure? The guy has been rock solid reliable. I love Shazier's game, I just hope he can get past these constant bumps and bruises.

With Eifert out might not be a bad game to sit him though would love to have him... Supposing Eifert is actually out

You've never been more right. Timmons is as reliable as they come, but his ceiling is limited. He is what he is and that's a very dependable defender who you're glad to have on the team, but not a guy that's ever going to be mistaken as a superstar. Shazier has superstar potential. He could be known as the best LB'er in the league. He has that much potential. He just can't stay healthy.

Timmons is in the same category as Heath is really. He will forever be admired by Steelers fans but people outside of our little bubble will never really understand who he truly was. When I tell people that Heath is probably my favorite Steeler of all time they just look at me like I'm insane but most Steeler fans wouldn't give me too much flack for that I don't think. I don't know that I could TOTALLY say that but if I had a gun to my head I might have to. If the question was just favorite "offensive" player for the Steelers then I think it would definitely have to be Heath.

Eifert is out. If Shazier can go, he should play. This isn't MLB, every single game matters. We need our best players when they're available. If he can't go then so be it, but I don't think we should sit him if the doctors think he's good to go

I certainly would not fault you for choosing someone as dependable as Heath. He was an awesome TE. Came to work week after week when not injured ( which was seldom) No off field antics and not a distraction to the team. Just a good old fashioned hard working young man.
