Anyone willing to take a flyer at him? he is going to be released out here in San Diego, and when healthy, is a stud. Of course, "when healthy" is the big thing.

Not sure what he'll command due to the injuries, but may be worth a little $$$$........

He's injury prone, yes, but he'll still be the best OT on the market... With our cap situation I wouldn't expect us to sign any free agents other than special teamers.

Yeah.I really don't see the Steelers making moves in Free Agency. If they do,It'll be small fill-gap type moves.Nothing major.

I don't know about McNeill but, I would be willing to take a chance on Mike Tolbert, RB, Chargers. Age: 26. With Mendenhalls ACL injury, this guy could be perfect to work with Redman. All they would need to do after that is to get a legit FB to block for them.

I agree. If we want to fill Mendy's spot, get a speedster. We already have Dwyer as a bruising back waiting in the wings. And Jonathan Clay wasn't exactly small, if he sticks around. If there is one position we really don't need help with - barring serious injuries - it's RB.

to be honest , i wouldn't mind us throwing in a playmaker like james from oregon as a change up guy. the kid was productive. he's not an every down guy but a change of pace guy. let the big guys pound it out and let james and batch do what they do out of the backfield when the defense is tired of tackling our bruts.

I would like to see us spring on a good FA guard. Don't know who is out there. But if we can't get Decastro there isn't really any other G in the draft that excites me.

They could take turns for the 2 or 3 short yardage runs we get per game, so they don't wear out. Then they can take turns not breaking long runs. Then Dwyer and Clay can come in and not take the defense by surprise.

there are several guys. alot depends on how the draft plays out. everyone is looking at decastro as a guy that can do no wrong or never misses a block, that's just not true. he will have some growing pains too. sure he'd be nice to have, but i don't think he's truely a top 10 player by any stretch. he's got alot to work with and so do alot of others. we need someone better then kemoeatu, and there are a ton of guys that fit that bill. osemele, washington, brooks, silatolu, nix, kelemete, tribue (is a big time sleeper) and so is beachum, looney, allen, zeitler. i think all these guys would be better then kemo.

then there are the centers, i think any of these guys would be better then kemo or legursky. ben jones, konz, phil blake, brewster, snow. this is a very deep draft for linemen. there are others that could use a little work but still may be better coming in then what we have and they have some upside. that's what we are after.

i'm still very curious about essex and if he does what he says he's going to do as far as coming in in shape, he's still a good lineman to have as a swingman for alot of spots and could make several guys expendable. i think it scared the heck out of him being out of football last year and the light came on. that's all he's talked about since coming back and said it won't happen anymore.

we have gotten so used to average or below here we don't know what looks good compared to them. kugler has the job of fine tuning these guys, we just need to give him something decent to mold. this class has alot of those guys.
