this could be major news if he wasn't playing so badly. not sure if anyone has noticed him but he has been awful this preseason. not the same guy as even last year. he's been downright awful. this knee injury may have sealed his fate. i like wallace too but man. finney and hubbard should be seeing more time at center soon but i also expect we may see an interior guy brought in soon.

Tough break for him, but he might've been on his way to being cut anyways. The others have been out playing him. I like Hubbards versatility and Finney enough to think we're fine on the inside if something happens.

See...somethings just pan out for themselves. Tough break Wallace but it definitely make the choices easier. He was definitely a steelers type player.

BJ Finney is an upgrade over Cody Wallace anyway considering his ceiling is higher. I would not be worried if he us the backup interior option for Foster, Pouncey or DeCastro ( I hope not).

He may lack the athleticism of Pouncey and is still developing his play strength, but from a technician standpoint.. he is right where he needs to be. Besides.. I do not think he has unlocked his functional strength like so many believe.

    Hubbard on the other hands...

As far as I know it was only a hyper extended knee?

I don't think he is gone just yet.

Cody has a roster spot on this team, he is concentrating on the guard position in camp to be versatile at center and guard: Heres the pros and cons on Cody:

Honestly not sure who you're talking about, camp body from one of these past seasons?

I thought we shoulda kept Velasco around for if Pouncey went down. Why didnt that work out?

last i heard he injured his knee at the end of the eagles game. he looked awful in camp and in that game then the injury. have not heard how severe it was though. a new guard was just signed, so it makes me wonder if he's out for now.

Cody is staying here on the roster, Munchak and Tomlin likes him and he is an insurance player at two positions, where are they going to find a more experienced lineman at his low price, remember he signed a 3 year 3.48 mill contract in 2014, you think they can find another experienced center/guard for 1 .1 mill a year, they will either put him on the PUP or the IR to return list but he isnt going any where this year....
