<mod edit> That's uncalled for, and don't circumvent the word censor.

As sad as it is, that's just about the only good Steelers news out there.

Steelers will be OK with Williams for 3 games. On a positive note... Bell's knee can heal a little longer. We don't need him in September. We'll need Bell in January and the first weekend of February.

Lol...this is ridiculous. We have so many problems, so many issues, and so much b.s going on with this team. And this is before any major injuries. I don't know if we're built to overcome all of this

KC is pretty tough. Three games suspended instead of four is better than nothing.

Then again, maybe Bell will get more stupid and be busted for weed in the next few weeks and he will be done.

I say offer him a contract now. When he asks why is less than he expected, tell him we expected 16 games

it would be foolish to try to sign this guy long term unless he plays for vet minimum next year

As part of the settlement, Bell remains in his current stage of the substance-abuse program. This is very good news.

Very disappointing, Bell let everyone down, the Rooneys, coaches, teammates and fans.

Even more disappointing is I am afraid that Bell is only here for 1 contract and thats a shame for such a great talent.

The more I see cases like Bell, Bryant, Josh Gordon, the more I tend to believe that weed is definitely addictive for some people. Everything effects people differently and while the majority of people can smoke weed without it being a problem, there is a small percentage of people who can't lay off.

    Bell's an idiot.

He may be great at football, but he's terrible at life.
This clown was on Facebook a few weeks ago saying that basically if you didn't believe his side of the story and support him that you are a hater and not a real fan of his. The guy's an immature ass clown.

    Bell - down for 3
    Bryant - down for 16
    Golson - down for 12?
    Green - down for 8?

Yeah, and we haven't really had a hard injury yet. I sometimes hate these guys.

Report says he missed test due to traveling and did not tell the tester. So he did not test positive but was considered positive because he missed the test. Why not just test again, sucks he is out because he was "traveling"

Ok then we have a problem because if the punishment for missing a test( which is considered a failure) is 4 games at the level he is at, and as someone pointed out weeks ago they have that pretty well in black and white, then by lowering it a game is the league admitting that there may have been a problem on their end as well? If they are lowering it a game for say something like failing to properly contact Bell and schedule another test doesn't it call the whole process into question? This is beginning to smell like a farce to me, something doesn't add up

One national reporter said that there were some issues with process surrounding missed tests so they reached a settlement.

must have been the Rooney's pushing for the end of a distraction then because the only way the suspension works is if the league maintains the high ground and that it was Bell who was in the wrong because anything less than that means in principle he is right and they screwed the pooch.

Why not test again? Because people would use excuses to stall til they know they can pass.
Hi didn't just miss one test it was multiple
He may not have been using, but either way he's suspended.

Different situations. His appeal last yeAR wasn't a challenge to the system but him saying I've been a good boy can I get it lessened. This year he is challenging whether or not the fault was with him or the league for not following procedure.
