Okay we all know this time of year sees a lot of roster moves so why not just start a thread.

Shakim Phillips and TE Dixon e
were cut and TE Jake Phillips and CB Kevin White were added. A lot of people had Shak Phillips on their watch out list.

 

Figured both would be gone, but I expected Phillips to at least last until the middle of preseason......
Jake Phillips and white are just camp fodder..... nothing to get excited about... both will be gone in the first rd. Of cuts

 

Yeah I figured any big moves would get their own thread. This I guess will be the nothing to see here thread.

 

RoboQB has been confirmed as signed by Coach Tomlin. Coach was quoted as saying he is a wonderful piece of technology and they would continue to work him in wherever they can to utilize him to the fullest

For what?

 

He will replace Caanan Severin. UDFA WR from this season who was waived/injured. We needed another camp body.

 

Shame. I knew nothing about Severin, but wanted him to do well because he sounded like a bad guy from a horror movie.

 

He had potential and will probably be IRed when he clears waivers.

 

Phillips only chance was another season on the practice squad, with Eli Rogers emergence no big loss with Phillips release.

Whigham offers the requisite size at 6-foot-1, 187. Feel bad for the injured guys.

 

Ventrones season is over. Most likely his steeler career too.

At least he gets a year's worth of salary, instead of bouncing between the 53-man roster and the practice squad like he has done for his entire "career." with the new rules on returning from I/R, maybe he will be the guy they bring back. They could have just given him an injury settlement and waived him.

 

I remember reading something that he had over 47 differnet times that he went from being released to practice squad to active squad with the Patriots. Always liked Ross V, good special teams player. Wish him the best.

 

They can't bring him back from IR to the roster . In order to do that they first must be on the 53, then IR. which is why Golson hasn't been IR yet. They'll probably release him with an injury settlement .

That is not correct. Ventrone was placed on I/R. Mihalik and Philon were waived injured, but Ventrone was placed on I/R.
