Everything I have been hearing and seeing it looks like a winner and the type of Star Wars movie I have been waiting for.

    What he said. :lolol:

It looks promising. On a side note, boy did NBC squeeze every drop milking this last night.

The Force Awakens was that movie for me. So if this is on par with that then I will be happy.

I was joking around on IGN the other day when they posted the story that they are releasing a 3d Blu-Ray of Force Awakens by saying how I think it's crazy that they never really make a lot of Star Wars products. I was like "All they do is make a new movie every few years but miss huge marketing opportunities by never releasing Special Editions and then Super Special Editions and then Super DEE Dooper Special Editions" and how "it's really rare to ever find a product with the Star Wars label on it". I'm not sure everyone got it. LOL!

I can't see that happening personally. I have lower expectations, so it will be hard for me to be disappointed. :laughs:

I do think it's cool that they've pulled in characters from the Clone Wars.

Yeah I do the same thing. I just go in expecting it to suck and then even if it doesn't suck AS BAD as I thought it would I can walk away not feeling as let down. It's a defense mechanism really. LOL! I think I've developed it more finely by being a Steelers fan because we so often seem to lose to "inferior teams". HA!

I was saying on Star wars message boards that it has that gritty dirty feel that I think a rebellion needs. I wanted something like a Battlestar Galactica look to it. Under funded rebellion, rag tag group, second hand fighter, old mothballed capital ships, black market weapons that don't work or break. I know Lucan likes a clean crisp pristine feel and look but it went against an image I had in my head.

Just because I own 8 copies of the same movies across various medias doesn't mean I'm a mindless sheep but shut up and take my money.

You thought Force Awakens was all that? I was very disappointed in certain areas.

    1) Han. Nuff said.
    2) Ren, should have kept his helmet on, keep his identity hidden. Plus, the actor isn't nearly menacing enough without the helmet.
    3) Rey. Loved her but she kicks ass without training? Yeah, I know, she's supposed to be the most powerful Jedi, still needs training. Luke, even with training was still no match for Vader in Empire.

    Ok, sorry for nerding out.

I hated to see Han die because he's my favorite Star Wars character ever but I can understand why they'd feel the need to do that to establish Kylo as really evil. I thought he should have kept it on too but I had been predicting all along that he would be Han and Leia's kid anyway. Rey had been on her own for a while and I think that could count for some of her scrappy nature. Luke was more of just a farmboy.

I would have hated seeing Han die at any time but I think they should have built that up, at least until the next episode. There are other ways they can display Kylo's evilness. Of course, harrison Ford is really freaking old, so maybe that was the thinking there too.

I'm sure you know this but Harrison Ford wanted them to kill Han off in Return of the Jedi.

Actually Harrison Ford wanted them to kill him in Empire! He hated Han! That's just so ridiculous that he would hate that character. Really though Han could still be in the future films because it could just flashback to young Kylo and show him and Han having their falling out. I don't think it will though. I'm just saying there's technically a way for Han to keep being in the films. I guess if they reallllly wanted to show how evil he is they should have had him kill Leia. I wonder if since it is Luke's destiny to save the galaxy if they will let Luke kill Kylo?

I think at that point the big three were struggling with being more than the actors from Star Wars. I mean Ford was trying to have career as an actor and despite some great roles Harrison Ford will always be Han Solo and Indiana Jones with maybe a bit of Jack Ryan. So I can see it.
