1-5 with 5 being the best.

    Route running=
    Speed=
    Hands=
    Strength=
    Jump Ball=
    Clutch(making catches in key moments)=

    I say 5, 4, 5,4,4,5.

Is AB a true #1? Is he the best in the NFL? Is he the best Steelers WR of all time?

Outside of strength.. everything else is a five.

For your second question.... I am personally torn between him and Julio. Both change the dynamics of their offenses and open up so much more for their offenses. They are one a and b.

Is he the greatest steelers WR of all time? Personally.. I like Hines more at this point.. but if Antonio Brown gets that hardware.. that can easily change the dynamics

I agree...strength is a 4, but that's what make him so much more dynamic. He's smaller but his numbers are as big as they come. Can he keep it up for another 5-6 yrs? This is the question. Can he bring home the hardware? Can he get these numbers without Ben?

I agree with the first reply, all 5`s except 4 for strength.

As far as how good he is just ask yourself if he will be HOF if he gets 10 years in the NFL at this level. Answer is no doubt HOF.

So the question is will we be smart and find a way within the salary cap to keep a HOF receiver?

He'd be higher than a 5 for some of these categories lol You can say 5's all across. He's really strong for his size, it's just his height weight limits him strength wise overall. He's a stud.

    A 5 on route running..A 4 on speed he is not a 4.2 or 4.3 guy..Hands I say a easy 5..Strongness probably a 4 ...Jump Ball a 5 easy..Clutch another easy 5...

He's easily a 5 on speed. There's straight-line 'combine' speed and there's game speed. Only game speed matters. When he gets out in the open field it usually ends with him doing flips and jumping on goal posts.

I agree he has game quickness , but he usually jukes some guys and he see's the field great,he runs where their not .. If the question was elusive or agile then I would say 5 easy again , but speed is not his true weapon he is elusive very elusive...

All 5's, but being able to get off the line of scrimmage should be #1 on a list. My friends he is uncoverable
by far the most exciting Steeler to play in many years.

I think the fact that he can go 0-60 in a dime is incredible. It's like a burst of speed from the line 5 yards, then a shift with no lag, and burst of speed in another direction. Crisp, fluid, sticky hands. I agree with other people, there is no 1 corner than can cover him, not even Deion sanders in his prime.

Top Speed is irrelevant. Antonio can run all the routes, to perfection, at his top speed. His defining ability, or the ability that separates him and puts him at the top of the league is his ability to change direction at full speed. He doesn't have to throttle down like almost every other WR. It's what makes his routes uncoverable. AB has the fastest feet in the NFL, and that's the only speed measure that matters.

I agree , but that is not rated as speed that's all I am saying ...That is called elusiveness.....Speed from a Coach's perspective is run him on a end around and let the LB'S and DB'S have great pursuit angles ..Can he simply outrun those with pure speed ?Or run him on a straight 9 route can he run by the CB and Safety with pure speed ? The answer is no he can't..

What he can do is make LB'S and CB'S break their ankles and make the pursuit guys look dumb following the wrong angles...

If you asked Richard Mann to rate AB's speed, he would rate it off the charts. Because Richard Mann would define speed in the way that matters most to the position. Mann knows that running a 9 route isn't even about straight speed. It's about release, set up, and stacking the defender.

I asked this question a couple of years ago and at the time I said AB was the best overall and I still maintain that today. Not only is he a great WR but he's also a great dual threat and he's one of those guys that can take it to the house every time he touches it. So I say it's AB in a landslide. I think a greater debate would be who is the SECOND best in the NFL.

That's exactly what I was gonna say. There's "fast" and there's "NFL fast". Dri Archer was "fast". AB is "NFL fast". AB is just really elusive and can maintain that speed in all directions and even for a somewhat smaller guy he is still tough to bring down. People that are saying he isn't all that strong need to remember that he has thrown some vicious stiffarms.
