It will be nice to have a different type of guy to play the slot. He seems like a perfect fit there. I think he can return some punts too right? If he can turn into a contributor on some level, then our WR corps will be very deep and very scary even without Bryant. AB with DHB, Wheaton, Coates, and Rogers could be a good cast of guys. Still have Ayers who we just drafted too.

Yeah the problem will be when/if Bryant comes back next year. That's a lot of horses but Brown, Bryant, Coates, Rogers, and DHB would be a pretty nasty group.

I want to watch Rogers in the preseason to see if he lives up to the hype.

He was already living up to the hype before he got hurt..He was winning 1 on 1 battles and he was making some very good catches ...He is very good in space and will probably be the punt returner as well...I hope he can stay healthy , i think he is a true find..

Seems like he's gonna take over the old Randle-El spot working out of the slot and returning punts. I wonder if he can throw as well as the former #82 when 'Fake-39 Toss X-Reverse Pass' is called. I guess the play has been changed to 'Fake-26' now.

That's what they do better than any other team, props to WR coach Richard Mann.

If he stays healthy, he's going to surprise people in a good way.

The position is definitely stacked. Never paid too much attention to him before but I've been hearing tons of good stuff. Add another guy to the list to key in on the preseason games...

Sounds promising but we'll see. Every year there is one of these camp darlings and then poof.

If he does well and can manage to hang around until next year, maybe he can take over for Wheaton, I think Wheaton may only be around for one contract. And of course Bryants future is unknown.

The tough thing is going to find a spot for him this year. AB, Coates, Wheaton, DHB are etched in stone. Will they be able to carry 5? Will he be safe on the PS? And then there is Ayers, if he does well, will be even harder.

If he can bring it on special teams he has a great chance to earn a roster spot.

Funny how everyone has different perspectives.... I read another writer that said Rogers was struggling.

Will they be able to carry 5 WR's? I don't think it's possible to go into the season without at least 5, maybe even 6. We were one of the most pass heavy offenses in the NFL... It seems like Rogers and Ayers are fighting for the final spot. Both might make it if we keep 6.

With Green basically being a large receiver, I can't see us having 6 WR. I could see us keeping 4 TEs, but some of that will be determined by what kind of talent we really have there. David Johnson or Grimble or both.

#17 looked pretty good when I saw him Friday night at Latrobe HS. If he can return KO/punts
he very well make the roster.

Impossible to say until they see how things shake out as preseason unfolds. Only 53 spots, these choices can get hard. Can guarantee they wont carry 6 though.

Well it would be hard to guarantee that at this point, but with Green basically being a glorified WR I doubt it as well.

When was that? I can't recall more then 5 in recent years but I'm too lazy to look it up.

Doesn't really matter what they did in the past, every year is different when shaking out the roster. If theres a tough decision between the oline and carrying a 6th receiver, can't really see the receiver winning out.
