It worked pretty well on the final play at San Diego last year . . .

Yep. Foles was a product of the system. When D-coordinators caught up to the system, Foles sucked and Chip Kelly was fired. Put Foles in a basic pro set system (like we saw him run in St Louis) and he was awful.

It's why you see all these qb's lighting it up in college (David Klingler being the best example) then achieving new heights of mediocrity in the pros.

i like what we have here and with the addition of the young kid from dallas, we should have plenty of guys familiar behind ben. i like keeping the guys that know this offense and the players in it. i think it keeps us more cohesive.

Exactly. I live in the heartland of college football worship down here in the SEC and I'm always telling people when they are talking about these "genius" college coaches that most of who they are calling brilliant are just guys that couldn't cut it with the big dogs. Saban, Kiffin, Petrino, and guys like them are successful in college but when you try and bring those systems to the NFL when the hashmarks are closer together and guys are running well under 5 in their .40's then it's a whole new ball game. People down here were acting like UT hit the jackpot when they got Kiffin and I was dying laughing telling them how much he sucked in the pros and was just riding his daddy's name. They all said I was a moron...until Kiffin barely made it a season and skipped town for USC. He's one of the most hated people in the history of east TN now. But people here will still brag about what an "offensive genius" he is. To me, if you can't do it in the most hardcore football league on the planet then you aren't as good as people want to claim you are.
