I'm confused. Can someone explain what tickets will be available on June 17th at 10:00am? Any chance I get tickets to N.E. Game at face value? Never been to a game, so not sure how this works.

The Tickets that should go on sale on the 17th, but the past few years have been put up on a presale for special members even earlier, are face value seats in the 500 sections. These usually go for around $90 a ticket.... far better than Stub Hub mark ups...

I suggest going for the least sought after games though... I have tried for NE or Ravens for the last 10 years and never have been able to score tickets this way.

Is the time June 17th at 10:00 am eastern? I don't see where they indicate time zone. They just say 10:00 am...

Tried to get 2 tickets to cowboys game. Clicked on get tickets at exactly 1000 and it instantly put me on the resale section. When I went back to try again there wasn't anything left except a couple of singles.

I went looking for tickets to the KC game today, Stub hub has lower tier sideline seats at around $280 - $380. Is that standard prices or are they likely to go down before the game? I'm coming all the way from England for this so I really don't want to risk waiting too long but I also don't want to get fleeced. I was hoping to spend around $250 per seat as a maximum but I want a decent seat if I'm gonna pay that.

yup. rooneys sold their fans out when they opted to make more money using ticketmaster than sell tickets to the season ticket waiting list fans.

Yeah that Dallas game must fall into some different category, there were never many available it seems.

That seems like a lot to me. But then again those are secondary market prices. I usually go for the upperdeck seats for face value of the ticket on Ticketmaster.

There is no bad seat in the house, but that is just me.

If you are traveling that far though you might as well treat yourself I guess? I would try the Steelers Ticket exchange rather than Stubhub though... prices might not be as crazy?

Well I'm happy. I logged on at 10am to buy tickets but had zero luck getting 3 or 4 seats for the home opener. Nothing available but standing room and nose bleeds. SO I gave up and said screw it. couple hours later I get a notification on my phone that more seats were released. I jumped on and was able to get 3 pretty good seats - single seats . In front of each other not side by side for $160 each. Just booked my hotel using points and flights using miles. I love it when a plan comes together. :)

All I want now is a healthy Ben for the Home opener.

Ticket sales are a gd joke. Pardon me but logged into ticket master at 10 am est as prescribed and still could not get a ticket.. I know for a fact scalper know how to circumvent captcha codes with scripts and lease card numbers to take out all the opportunities for average citizens to buy tickets.

At the end of the day could not get any tickets that were not through secondary sites ( stub hub) and other sites which charge ridiculous prices to buy anything..

    PISSED OFF

Also quite pissed off here. Just checked out the Steelers Ticket Exchange, found 2 seats on the lower tier, block 137 (around the 20 yard line), row K for $256 each and was so close to buying them until I saw the $50 per ticket service charge. I mean what the holy **** is that all about? 20% of the cost of the ticket added on for what? To e-mail me some tickets that I have to print myself. Utter Bull****.

Ahh Apologies for the rant, guess I'm gonna have to save up even more money now.

The Steelers changed ticket prices last season, from game to game, depending on the opponent. Since all games are sold out, this has no affect on the season ticket holders who own the tickets. It only affected scalping. Why did the Steelers help scalpels if for no other reason than money was to be made by someone?

The thing is I don't think the NFL or the Steelers organization should be allowing people to sell the tickets at anything other than face value. In my opinion you become a season ticket holder because your a true fan and want to support the team, not as a method of making money.

There can be a downside to selling your tickets on eBay or stubhub. Years ago I couldn't make a game and sold my Baltimore tickets on eBay. 2 guys with purple jerseys sat in my seats. When I came to the next game half the people in my section and the one next to me, plus the seat attendant, ripped me out a new butt hole.

Don't quote me but I am sure I read awhile ago there is a Pennsylvanian state law which prohibits the sale of tickets are more then twice the face value.

    Sheesh.. Its ridiculous

Even that much is wrong, but there are some people selling tickets for close to $1000, and they aren't even club level or box seats. That must be more than twice face value. In any case i've bought my tickets now. In the end I just couldn't risk the chance that I wouldn't get to see the game.

Where did you wind up buying them from and where did you decide to sit? Just curious if I'm not being nebby.

i wouldnt be surprised at all if the organization keeps the majority of left over tickets and has someone resell them at huge price increases on other sites(ebay, stubhub, tuicket exchange etc.)

The seller also pays a fee to sell the tickets. I personally don't have a problem with it. You're paying for a service. These guys can't set up a website and offer guaranteed tickets for free. You can find some good deals on Craigslist, but you take the chance of getting ripped off.

So you're telling me that the Steelers are taking left over tickets they couldn't sell in the first place and then having someone sell them on other sites for huge profits? And where exactly are these "left over" tickets coming from?

Yeah dude you can see good from any seat up there. I personally like to sit down low and be close to the action but in a lot of ways you can see BETTER from up there because you can see the whole field at all times. When you sit really close what happens is when they get on the other end of the field it makes it harder to see exactly what is going on when you are behind them. It really all just depends on what kind of experience you want to have. Since you've never been to a game before I recommend getting there early and going in as soon as the gates open and then head over to the tunnel where they come to the field from. Lots of players sign autographs there during warmups and I've even gotten a couple myself. You can even go there even if you're not "sitting there". You will just have to move before the game starts or when the actual person comes to their seat. Don't pay ridiculous prices though. I've been on the 2nd row at about the 50 for a little over $100 before and even in the "Club" section at Heinz for less than $200 a ticket and those are both in the lower level.
