I was at the Niners game last season and Shazier played one of the best defensive games I've ever seen live. He was everywhere. If he can stay healthy, holy smokes. He could be a stud.

That would be impressive for a guy that has a condition that keeps him from growing any hair hahah

EXACTLY! But the general public doesn't KNOW that so the average person watching a commercial with him in it would be like "Man those things really DO work!" LOL!

Doesn't mean much if the guy can't stay on the field to use that speed. Here's hoping he has a great year.

Indeed. I mostly went on there to find some form of substance... but after Week 10 of last year, I knew I had to find somewhere else to go. Granted.... I do visit there every now and then..... but I find myself coming back here more often than not. In addition, the sites owner, Dave Bryan, strikes me as a person who seems to have a bit of either a Superiority Complex or a God Complex.

    First off...

NO ONE compares to Troy, jumping over centers, etc... (Yes that`s plural, he did it to more than one of them...)..

However, the OP, did post a good link, with the film, that makes a case for why Shazier can be disruptive, from a multitude of positions...

    SPEED KILLS...

    AND...

He plays with good technique, and instinct to get to the ball...

HOPEFULLY, he won`t be compared to Troy, in the "injury department", when it`s all said and done.

He makes better "fundamental tackles", than Troy did, for the most part..

He will leave his feet, as a last resort, to make the tackle, but, not as his normal M.O....

He`s had some injuries, that lead some fans to call him a "China Doll"...

And when I looked back into his career at OSU, I was surprised to find out that he was held out of a lot of practices, to preserve his body for "Game Day"...

    That shocked me...

At the time, he was called a "warrior", in the local press...

So, I hope he is more comperable to Troy, in terms of production, than injuries, when his career is over...

I think we got a helluva good player when we drafted him, but I wouldn`t compare ANYONE to Troy...

He was one of a kind!!!!:matrix0:

Still really glad we got Shazier, tho...

Pretty sure he`s gonna help us win some games, and maybe some Lombardis!!!:herewego!::dfense:

    GO STEELERS!:herewego:

    Edit...
Since I couldn`t put it in my last post...

Anyone else see the commercial for Head and Shoulders shampoo, with Odell Beckham,
where Troy handed him the bottle of shampoo?

Laffed my ass off... But miss Troy, and Heath... And Aaron, and... Nevermind...

Didn't realize this was such a prevailing sentiment:hmm:

As an out-of-towner, I like their coverage. Don't get a satisfying amount on ESPN or NFLN here so online is the best option. Their Podcast is pretty good and maybe Dave and Dave grew on me from that but it is pretty informative and they seem to be more lighthearted there than on the website

Not so sure he can, you have to be on the field alot to make this happen. Maybe next year when his rookie contract will be expiring?
This is usually where they go all out to win that fat contract?

I think going all out is part of the reason Shazier has been hit by injuries. I don't think his effort is in doubt. He just needs to play smarter.
