To the front office. Well done. We apparently had a plan to get speed and we did at positions of need. I really don't think we reached for anyone that would have been there 1 rd later than where we picked

Just looking forward to seeing how this shakes out but we have guys who can play

It wasn't a typical feeling draft for sure but then again, I think this crop or draft in general wasn't one of the better ones we've seen. I was pretty steamed by our first rounder, but after thinking it over I really like the pick from the spot we were in. What interested me, is the fact that we drafted guys with high ceilings... Not very polished but raw with a lot of upside so long as our coaches can squeeze it out of em. I do like the Hargreaves pick at DL I think we'll all grow fond of him. Freeny and matakevich could be gamers though I think the latter will pretty much be a S.T. Guy but could really excel at it.

I really hope these dbs we took see the field soon and actually make the roster I think camp this year for the dbs is gonna be fun to see play out

The more I watch of davis, the more I think he starts. Burns has potential to but I think gay allows him to not have too.

Being a bama fan I can tell that I am glad Hawkins is gone. Kid is good just needs coached up

Sounds like a lot of people on the board had this reaction to a lot of our picks

once we look at what they did it makes sense. We always want the media hyped players. The coaches and GM have to look at what they can do with them in their tutelage.

I'm really thinking that last LB will be around for a long time on ST at least. I got to watch a lot of Temple games last year and he was always around the ball with a high motor.

    :lolol:

First time in years not a single guy I coveted ended up on the team. Worse yet, several ended up on division rivals.

    Ravens: Kaufusi, Correa
    Browns: Nassib
    Bengals: Billings, Jackson

Thats just cruel. Hope I was wrong on all of them

I wouldn't have minded if the Steelers had spent a late pick on Keenan Reynolds, the Navy QB that the Ravens drafted.

Burns has to learn sooner than later. He does not have a choice. Ben is not getting any younger and the window is closing.

However, rounds 2-7 were solid hits; 2,3 and 6 being knock outs.

I'm really pleased with our draft. We got faster and more athletic for the most part. It was a crazy draft and I'm actually pleased that the Bengals exposed themselves for the envious, bitter haters that they are. And my enjoyment in beating them will be even better now.

We addressed our secondary with athletes with measurables, added some depth on our O-line and I think Feeney was an absolute steal. We even got a pocket pusher for our D-line.

I'm intrigued by our newest slot receiver but after seeing some tape, he can come in and free AB up from punt return duties right out the gate.

Very happy with our picks and proud of how Colbert "attacked" our weakest area.

After all of the negativity, I decided to re-visit last year's draft thread and watch people laugh at how the Rams screwed the pooch on Todd Gurley, how Ramon Foster sucks, etc . . . I couldn't care less about the fans' opinions on our draft. In reality, nobody (including the 'experts') really knows how these guys are going to turn out. To be upset about it is quite asinine.

Just gotta fold the arms behind the head, kick the feet up, and see how it all pans out.

He was drafted as a RB. I'm extremely happy he was taken at least. They'll let him be an active reservist.

I'm really surprised that they didn't address OLB much, either through draft or udfa. All signs point to signing the 5th year tender for JJ?

You are not alone bud I think a lot of the guys we all hyped went elsewhere. I am glad my two guys(Miller & Higbee) didn't end up in our division. I am also Mata ended up here this guy can play like mentioned above he is ALWAYS around the ball and is gonna be a player I feel we talk about for a long time........fingers crossed here.

They addressed needs with the first 3 picks. What's not to like? They will be contributing if not starting. Depth for the O Line in the 4th. A linebacker in the 6th and 7th. (Greg Lloyd was selected in the 6th round) A receiver/returner in the 7th. Not to shabby. And a slew of undrafted kids.

I just hope they don't commit to the 5th year option on Jarvis " Clean Jersey" Jones. This would be a mistake.

Burns will get some playing time earlier than some. Davis will be a ST until he can learn the position better. He may see some snaps, but I don't expect a few a game? Harvrave may see more than any of them if he can create some pressure, but he has that small school label on him, so time will tell. As for the rest, Feeney is gonna be a ST guy, and if not for his 3 shoulder surgeries he'd have been a top round guy. The last pick, and I won't try to butcher his name, seems like a gamer, and one who even some of the talking heads said will make the ST unit, if not push for a snap or two during a game?

I wanted Artie he was my #3 CB on my board . I think we could have got him 5 to 10 picks later, I still wished they had took the QB and leveraged him I think we could have still got all the guys we got and 1 more ...

our defense will be REALLY GOOD in a year or 2. We will win 1 superbowl before Ben retires, bank on it.
