    Hall of Fame Level

This category is reserved for guys who are considered the current Mount Rushmore among NFL quarterbacks -- they have secured legacies through things already accomplished. The numbers, status among peers, Super Bowl rings and franchise-leader status are all there. Plus, you'll see in each case, losing is a rarity even in a league built for parity. Trajectory is not an issue.

Ben Roethlisberger (Steelers): This might turn heads, but Big Ben has reached this level. Two Super Bowls, an 80-33 regular-season record, and now putting up big numbers, too. And he's still on the right end of 30

As long as Ben keeps out of trouble off the field I have no doubt he will be in the HOF, especially if he wins another SB which I feel he will.

What makes Trent Dilfer such an expert? He was a lousy QB who won the Super Bowl because of his teams Defense.I would'nt put any stock into anything he had to say about QB rankings. He is by far the worst QB EVER to have a Super Bowl ring.Give me Marino,Montana,Bradshaw,Stauback,Winners who know what it is and what it takes too be great for QB rankings.(Marino never won a SB,But we all know he was great)Not a no talent QB like Dilfer.Just my .02 Cents

Wasn't Ben's QB rating the worst of any Super Bowl-winning QB? Just sayin'.

It may have been but surely you must realize that Ben is a much better QB than Dilfer? Right?

im amazed at how many people around here just love to bash Ben.

you people have become spoiled. i would bet there are about 25 teams out there that would love to have Ben as their qb right now. not bad when you have a qb thats at worst in the top 10. for the sake of the complainers i sure i hope we dont have to endure another 25 year drought between super bowls wins once Ben retires. if these boards are still around they might catch on fire with all the crying that you might do.

First of all some of the best analysts are mediocre players and some of the greatest players are mediocre judges of talent....

Michael Jordan...Gary kubiak...and there are many more for example ...so the argument is holds about as much water as being able to get blood from a rock...

Second even though Ben had the worst qb rating in the sb. His run in the playoffs arguably could be one of the best ever.

8 passing td. 1 running td. 1 int 225 yds per game

And he made "the tackle" in Indy.

So if ur gonna mention the sb. Don't forget to mention the run to the sb.

thats what everyone seems to forget. sure Ben struggled in the super bowl, but Ben carried them through the playoffs. they dont make the super bowl if Ben isnt great in that playoff run.
