The most important factor is RESULTS.

1 losing season in 16 years. Find me another team who does better.

2 SBs. Only 1 team can claim more.

There are certainly some irritating tendencies but Colbert has my full support. He keeps on fielding a competitive team year in and year out.

Every year we get to go into the season with Super Bowl aspirations. That is a nice reality.

Now what will prove his mettle, what will he do when the sad and inevitable post-Roethlisberger time comes. Colbert knows he needs a seamless transition. He needs to get that done. Big priority.

Bolded is true. However, I am sure that Colbert has a contingency plan in place. Draft a QB and hopefully lean on a defense that is consistently in the top 5. This has worked for Pittsburgh multiple times and this draft is just further indication that Colbert is already taking the steps to ensure that the transition for whoever Ben's heir is will be as smooth as possible.
