If the Steelers didn't already have so many small corners I'd say go for it.

But big corners are needed to play vs big receivers.

Steelers reportedly did put in a waiver claim on him, but had lower waiver priority.

"Yesterday, the Dolphins were awarded CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu on waivers. 3 other teams tried to claim him, per source: Saints, Bills & Steelers."

according to Field Yates, from ESPN.com

    Well I wish Ifo luck.

I also wish he gets married to a woman with a long ass last name and adds it to his own.

Maybe he could marry an NFL player's cousin.

    Ifo Ekpre-Olomu-Biakabutuka.
    Ifo Ekpre-Olomu-Roethlisberger
    Ifo Ekpre-Olomu-Hoomanawanui

    Etc.

Then he could demand it all gets fit on the back of a jersey. It would be hilarious.

If he was Ekprw-Olomu-Roethlisberger he would be called Eeyore (spelling) for sure E-O-R.

    I'll stop now.

I'm trying to find a way to sing this to the tune of "old McDonald"...

I'm glad the Steelers didn't get him, we don't need a injured 5'9 CB.

Singing "Ifo-Ekpre-Olomu" to the tune of old McDonald makes me bummed that we didn't sign him. That, and the fact that he's 5'9, can dunk a basketball (post surgery), and has 1st/2nd round talent. Would have been a good signing considering we haven't seen our 2016 slot corner play a down yet.

I think he could have made a very good slot CB . When I look at the NFL the job of the #2 CB has got a lot tougher over the years . The smaller CB'S used to be able to thrive as a #2 CB now only the great small ones can . The reasons are the QB'S clocks have got so much faster . The route combos are filled with rub routes and pick plays. Then when you have #2 WR'S who are a lot bigger and a lot faster than they used to be coupled with the 2 elements above a Team really needs at least 2 #1 CB'S .
