I'd be in if the price were right. Who knows if he would be bitter about a smaller role tho. He would basically have to realize that he would only be a 3rd or 4th option at best, but his big play threat is something that we will be missing from Bryant. He could help fill that void. If being a backup is something that will be a problem to him, then screw him. Just draft someone

I don't know he showed some maturity last season in Minnesota trying to break up an endzone celebration before it got flagged so I think he has grown up. That being said a 1 year prove it deal and let him burn it deep and take the coverage off AB going across the middle or Green/James/DHB or Wheaton on a slant might be worth it. At least we know he does not partake in the cannabis

Now that Bryant may be gone for the year, do they look at adding another WR?

We're in Super Bowl mode, and he already has chemistry with Ben.. We can't count on bringing in a rookie and having him contribute immediately.. Coates is still unproven. Again, it would likely just be a one year deal to build his own value up for one last big contract, and as a stop-gap for Coates and/or a rookie WR. He's probably only looking for a multi year deal anyhow, but it's worth checking out imo.

If they do, hopefully its one that also can fill the Emergency QB role with Heath gone or one that can return punts or kickoffs. ;)

That's kinda the point of this thread. Is Mike Wallace that receiver?

I'd be ok with Wallace coming back if the coaches believe he can offer something and improve our chances of winning.
Rather have him than one of these Tyler Murphy practice squad hero types.

Like I just posted in the MB thread I am fine at the vet min and him knowing he is no more then a #3-4 wr. If he accepts that fine and if he is bad in preseason cut him. I can say this I peaked a look at wr's in the draft just now and one guy stood out to me from the Shine game and that was:

    Geronimo Allison, WR, Illinois
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 196.
    Arm: 32.88. Hand: 9.5. 40 Time: 4.67.

    3rd - 4th rounder?????

The upside: Wallace is still young enough and fast enough to give us the deep threat we need, he knows the organization, has had success/chemistry with Ben, would come at a discount . . .

The question marks: What is his relationship with the organization like after departing previously, how much of a locker room guy is he (these are the things we don't hear about outside of the organization -- do the players like having him around or was he a diva/locker room cancer)?

Cons: Gave a pretty poor effort his final year in the Burgh (a home prime-time loss to Baltimore stands out), was a real 'ME guy' in Miami (would complain about this lack of targets even after a W), lousy production in Minnesota . . .

I'm okay with it if the team is okay with it but I don't have an opinion either way. Will be interesting to see what, if any, moves the team makes towards the former #17.

I would personally be against it because I'm just not a fan of Wallace. The guy quit in Miami. Literally. So I would personally say not but if it's what it takes to help us win then I'm not gonna kick and scream about it.

I would be alright with it for the vet minimum, a rookie won't get any playing time on this team. Wallace is visiting the Ravens on Monday, traitor lol.

Wallace left the steelers organization for less money than we offered and said that tannehill was a better qb then Ben.
Brown has been loyal, underpaid, and the #1 wr on the team and in the league. Do you really want to mess that up?

I don't want Wallace back but really not following your logic. First of all, Wallace got a contract way more than the Steelers offered him.

And why would AB be upset? Wallace wouldn't be the #1 receiver and he wouldnt be paid more than him and Steelers chose AB over Wallace after he thumbed his nose at their offer.
