Saw it on another sight, but haven't been able to log onto DK and haven't found any corroborating info on-line.

If true, he is an idiot who needs to be released.

I'm expecting Coates to see more playing time now.

Kind of saw this coming... he is an immature dude. He doesn't have the perseverance to be in the NFL.

I just got a text from NFL Mobile saying that he was definitely facing a year off for pot. Please just cut this stupid idiot and promote Coates. I'm sick and tired of these selfish morons that wanna hurt the team. If he wants to waste his life I'm fine with that. Just don't hurt the Steelers to do it. So long idiot.

A year long suspension for weed is a little harsh. But rules are rules and I understand. Too bad MB decided to make poor choices. Heading down the path of Josh Gordon. What a sad sad waste. He may have played his last game as a Steeler.

I'm not sure how this all works, but when stuff like this happens, a contract should become null and void and teams should be able to cut idiots like this without salary cap implications.

Time for next man up. Hello Sammie Coates.

He's on his rookie contract, so I don't think it hurts them too bad.

I guess this is a classic case of, million dollar talent and a 10 cent head.

    I just don't get it.

That's the exact reason we brought Coates in

Was this another failed drug test or is this a continuation from last year?

    Josh Gordon 2.0

Hope this isn't true. If it is welcome to a starting position Sammie Coates.

Also isn't a second violation 10 games not a season long? I thought that's what happened to Gordon?

If this is true, which it seems that it is, we should extend Wheaton and hope that Coats and DHB can fill the role of deep threat playmaker that Bryant was. Then perhaps draft another mid-round WR like we have been doing the past few years.

Aren't we glad that we didn't trade Wheaton like some were saying after we resigned DBH? Wheaton actually tries and doesn't appear to do stupid things.

At the end of the day, we are still very solid at WR. I have faith in Brown/Wheaton/Coats/DHB.

We don't want Bryant falling into the hands of a team that might actually force him to stop smoking, so I don't think we should cut him utill his contract is up, but he should not be in our plans at all going forward.

From what I read before this is a 10 game suspension minimum, and a season long max? It all makes sense now why they jumped on Green so quickly. MB was working with John Lucas during/ after his suspension last year, so guess it didn't help. Also, could've have been during the playoffs when this occurred? Hard to imagine its that tough to not smoke weed, but look how many people can't stop smoking cigarettes. My guess is they keep him and let him ride out his 10 games if that's what it becomes, but if it's the entire season he will be cut, and his money will go elsewhere. Def hurts the offense as well even with all the weapons.
