I want to qualify my choice of Noah Spence, I am not saying he would be
my choice at # 1 although he is talented enough. I was only playing game the original poster
asked us to insert. I think all of you that have been on this board for sometime, know that I want a safety, first and foremost whether it be thru FA or the draft. This would be one of the pieces missing to get us to the next level. Superbowl caliber, able to win SB.

The two no-brainers for me are Mackenzie Alexander and Andrew Billings. Ones who may/possibly could/hope to God will be there.

I think you're right about Billings....the way they think...that would happen if he's there

Billings is intriguing. His physical power and ability to dominate the point of attack is undeniable, but I watched a couple of his games 2-3 weeks ago, and I was a bit perplexed at how often he would beat his guy, be right there in the backfield, and yet lack the agility and/or situational awareness to move laterally and actually impact the play other than causing the ballcarrier to slightly alter his path. If it's awareness and his body being a half second behind what his eyes are seeing, coaching can fix that. If it's a lack of lateral agility, it's harder to fix. It matters to me which one it is because if he lacks lateral agility, then he's mainly just a 1-2 down run stuffer at the NFL level, and I don't think that translates to first round value in today's NFL. If he has the agility and just needs to be coached up, he can be a force in the middle for all 3 downs.

And we wouldn't be able to hold on to all of them either. Good thought.
