And that's why you keep him around.

The cap hit is harsh at the moment, but we don't have a player to step into his shoes right now, and given that this team is on the verge of something great it would be a bad decision to let him go in my view.

Remember when everyone thought Woodley should have been picked 1st?

Remember that hindsight is 20-20? Please don't forget before the hamstring bug bit him Woolley was a stud olb. Part of our problem now is we don't have anyone near as good as Woolley and Harrison were

Who's this Woolley character you speak of? He sounds magnificent.

Timmons is the core figure in this defense. It would drastically change without him in there, and not for the better. Glad he will stick around.

This. Good grief this. Woodley was a beast when he was in shape and healthy. I'm not altogether sure of whether it was all his hamstring or if he just didn't have a good enough work ethic to stay in the right shape. Timmons is a workout warrior and it shows but Woodley was really good and our d would be MUCH better off right now if he would have been able to stay in shape like Timmons did.

They will rework Timmons contract like they did with Heath and Troy, he will probably get a contract extension 2-3 years have to lower that cap hit.

I"m not a fan of Colbert. I'm not a fan of how we are always in the top 5 every year of teams who are up against the cap the worst. And Jarvis Jones being a bust has really hampered us.

That is great news now sign him to a 3 year extension keeping him here for this 3 year championship run we are gonna have. Use that money to improve the secondary, have a killer draft and we can all sing Kumbaya together...........:dancing::drinks:
