This is good news. It's too bad for him if he truly was seen as the next in line for OC, but this just goes to show you that there are more important things in life.

Great news for him. I saw yesterday that Larry Zierlein's son posted a nice update about Kirby's condition.

According to ESPN's John Clayton, Steelers RBs coach Kirby Wilson will "likely" be promoted to offensive coordinator if he "gets healthy soon."
Wilson has started physical rehabilitation after suffering burns on 45 percent of his body in early January. He was in line to replace Bruce Arians before the house fire. The Steelers have held off on promoting QBs coach Randy Fichtner or bringing in a bigger name such as Todd Haley or Jim Caldwell. Feb 2 - 7:10 PM

Hard for me to believe that someone who was in a medically induced coma a couple weeks ago will be our OC this year.

I don't see that happening either. Burns to 45% of his body will take a very long time to heal. The only thing I can think of is if they fill the OC by committee in house for a year and then give it to Wilson. That doesn't seem likely though.
