I remember in an interview once he had talked about the first few times he heard "HEEEAAAAAATH" from the fans. He honestly thought that fans were booing him every time he caught the ball until one of his teammates explained it to him. :lolol:

A sad day in Steeler Land. He gave 100% all the time, a consummate professional. Lunch pale every day! Going to miss the HEATH!!!! after the catches and TD's. Another great leaving...

Godspeed, Heath. For all of the reasons already mentioned, you are one of the all time great Steelers.

I'm going to miss Heath. Still a bit devastated. I thought he'd play at least one more season maybe two.

Damn, guess those mocks having a TE taken early were true?

Blanchflower not working out hurts, but maybe this means Wil Johnson stays this year as a TE this time? So we could concievably have Johnson and Nix out there paving the way for Bell?

Damn man I am shocked.....I want to wish Heath the best in whatever he does(I hope a TE coach) and also thanks for the many memories. This guy is one of the few people in the NFL that did more without touching the ball then when he did touch it. When he did touch it he was so dependable, one of the most underrated players of his time. I am glad to have watched you play it has been a joy, one last time big fella....................HEEEEEEATH!!!!!!!! You will be missed!

I don't have the words because I'm in shock. Although he was getting up there in football age he's one of my favorites and I didn't think he would ever retire.

Congrats Heeeeaaaaattttthhh!!!!! Thanks for the memories
