I think he will have lost some respect from his teammates for that.

    Newton showed no fight.

    Also, Norman played horribly.

I hope Peyton goes into the HOF as a Bronco. That would be a huge slap in the face to the Irsays and I would love it.

He went to and won the same number of Superbowls with each team.

I hated Cam before this season.
I watched many Panther games this season and was really impressed how he has matured as a player. I really believed that he would be the big difference tonight.
Tonight I'm back at the beginning.
    He played like a loser.
I never saw a Pro athlete do that.

Don't you think Denvers defense had something to do with that? They did the same thing to Brady.

He kept throwing off his back foot over and over. Even when he had time.

Yeah, I saw that also. Cam really has a lot of growing up to do. It is fine to win and joke around and have all sorts of fun, but...he should take a page from Peyton. You win with dignity and you lose with grace AND dignity. Only winners get sprinkles, cam

Poor poor performance by Cam Newton and the rest of the Panthers.

I wanted to see Peyton go out on a high note. I really didn't care what team would have won until Cam needed to bring racism into the mix. I'm now glad the Panthers lost. Cam will indulge with self promotion when they win but what a cry baby punk when they lose. Also, what a horrible role model he displayed for the kids that look up to him. Deon Sanders was crushing him after he seen Cams behavior. Lol, tell it like it is Prime Time.

Just Cam being Cam. I was hoping he got over his crybaby antics but his post-game interview proved otherwise. Maybe this offseason he can work on his accountability.

I think most QB's would have done the same thing Cam did. QB's generally don't go diving into piles for loose balls, nor do they work particularly hard at making tackles.

Cam Newton: "I'm an African-American QB and that scares people."

Here's a video I found on NFL.com. I remember a couple headlines last week but didn't bother reading/opening the link so didn't really know the gist of what he said. There may be more out there but NFL doesn't make it easy for me to find.

During the game, I thought that maybe he just got himself into an awkward position and couldn't drop down on it but after seeing numerous replays, he could have and should have dove on that ball. I don't care if he got his arm torn off, its the SB, time running out and only down by 6 points.

For someone that takes unnecessary chances just to make the highlight reel, like when he dove over his player into the endzone and got blasted by the defender when he could have just tiptoed in by going around his own guy, I thought it was gutless not diving on that ball.

To be fair, Peyton Manning or Tom Brady wouldn't have dove on it either. However, I was really surprised to see Cam do that because I've always thought of him as a physical player like Ben. Not so much anymore.

Maybe he was thinking about what happened to Drew Brees!?

Brady and Manning are pushing 40 and neither are close to 6'5 250.

Manning would pussy out but I think Brady dives for that ball.

Ben definitely dives for that ball.

Brees dove for the same ball in a regular season game. Sure he got hurt but he tried.

I can see how some would find fault with Manning for leaving the field after the loss. However, after going back and watching the press conferences for both of his SB losses I'm not sure where the claims of blaming his teammates etc is coming from.

The blaming his teammates was from the 05 playoff loss to us. He very passively aggressively attacked his o line in his presser. Came across as incredibly condescending.

You mean the " lets just say we had some protection issues" comment? He was sacked a half dozen times and hit who knows how many more. They did have protection issues. I would hate to see how y'all will act when a player actually does throw his teammate under the bus

That's what happens when you throw the ball 40+ times against the #4 defense that had 47 sacks in the regular season.

Farrior had 2.5 sacks so even though I can't find film on the game I would assume the Steelers were running their trademark ILB stunt. That's up to the OC to leave in a RB to pick that up or get the ball out to a check down quickly. Or it's up to Peyton to audible.

Edge had 13 rushes for 4.3 YPC. Should have fed him more.

Cam keeps digging his hole deeper. He tried explaining his post game interview and said he is on record as saying he is a sore loser, he should have left it at that but added, show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser

Couple things Cam, you haven't won anything yet, you are a LOSER! And a sore one at that.

Secondly, there are a lot of athletes who have won championships but are gracious and professional when they lose. So I guess they are losers even know they have accomplished way more then you.

    Grow up, Cam.
