Just watched SB45 against the Pack. Ugh!!! Our secondary played terribly, Suisham duck hooked a FG attempt, Mike Wallace should have caught the 4th and 5, and of course there was THE FUMBLE!

I think it stems from a thread/post earlier that said we were only "two" plays away from being 8-0 in our SB games and the debates began in earnest how accurate of an assessment that was. That's why I watched #45 again and then recalled how BB's two awful INTs didn't help the cause much and that Mendy actually had a decent TD run prior to the now infamous fumble-roosky.

I watched it twice on Sunday. The second time, my wife asked if I was watching the DVD. I told her it was on NFLN. Before the Denver game, I did watch both the 2005 and 2008 DVDs. They never get old. Funny thing is, I get all emotional when Fitz scores the go ahead TD, even though I know the outcome.

I feel the same way about # XIII, it had it all, plus it was the game that turned us into the team of the 70`s

For those of you watching the Packer game- did you catch what Isaac Redman did? They put him in for one series and he tore it up, then went to the bench for the rest of the game.

Although his career was short- really just a tiny blip in Steelers history- he played very well in the postseason when he had the chance.

And for those watching the Seahawks game- just how GREAT are

    The Parker TD run

    Randle El to Ward pass.

2 of my favorite Steelers TDs in 43 years of watching.

    Heres a little trivia:

The first two games played were not called superbowl but was officially designated as the AFL/NFL World Championship game, game 3 was the first offically designated as a superbowl...

    - After the first two “AFL-NFL World Championship Games,” the term “Super Bowl” was officially adopted by Commissioner Rozelle and the NFL. The first game to officially be designated as the Super Bowl at the time it was played was Super Bowl III between the AFL’s Jets and the NFL’s Colts. The first two championship games were retroactively named Super Bowls I & II.
